I think X not playing will be

A blessing in disguise on Saturday night. I think it will do 2 things that will ultimately work in our favor for a big win. First of all, A&M won’t know who to take away. They won’t be able to key on TVD’s security blanket on crucial down and distance, which leads to my second point. TVD will be forced to be more “open minded” offensively, in that he won’t be staring down and ultimately forcing anything to X. X being out actually calms the one catastrophic scenario that probably would’ve sank us, and that’s an interception by one of their corners jumping a route via anticipating TVD going to Restrepo in that crucial moment. I think Gattis will call a great game that will keep A&M’s defense off balance the entire game and we see multiple guys contributing offensively. With X out, I think we see a beautifully balanced attack and will win this game convincingly.
maybe the dumbest post of all time. Now get the **** out.

Wanna rethink this bro?

My reply earlier:

Not entirely. Actually, I was dead-on about TVD having zero timing or chemistry with any of the WRs not named Restrepo.

Even when guys were open, it’s not like TVD was able to hit them tonight. It was brutal to watch.

Would having X have helped? Maybe, but it doesn’t exactly bode well if he’s the only WR that TVD can consistently connect with and throw an accurate ball to.

I counted 3 stone-cold drops that just absolutely should have been caught, some others that weren’t thrown well but still had somewhat of a shot to catch. Again… brutal.

Yeah but he has to catch it first.

(this post aged well)
Lol. I stand corrected. I thought we would have gotten AT LEAST app state production out of our wr room? Our pace and play calling didn’t exactly help either? Look, TVD isn’t comfortable in this offense at all. He “throws to who he knows”rather than consistently going through his progressions and he is staring down his wr’s- that’s part of the reason wr’s can’t consistently get separation- he’s inviting safety help on anything deep. But I’m not going to go in on TVD though. It IS a new offense and it will take him a little time to fully grasp it….
