in order for us to jump to top 5 we need to flip a quite a few 5 stars from the people above us.

i agree that w will have some surprise additions maybe good ones.. but it wont' put us in the top 5 and it won't be anything more shocking than last year

We're 8th on Rivals' rankings right now. Wyche hasn't been taken off yet, but I don't think he'll hurt the star average number that much (ranked 3*).

Given that, IF we landed:

Bo Scarbrough - 5*
JC Jackson - 4*
Treon Harris - 4*
Lamont Gaillard - 3*
David Njoku - 3*

I could see our average star ranking go up quite a bit, and with our large class at 31 players...we could crack the Top 5. At "worst", a finish like that would guarantee us a Top 10 class.
 
Weren't we in the top 5 before TV and Powell de-committed? So if we add 2 other 4 stars, which are on the board and visiting this weekend, wouldn't that put us back in the top 5?

Treon maybe

Problem is, its recruiting, and noone knows... NOONE. These teens are crazy nowadays. The days of wild and crazy kids and hey dude are over.
 
Top 5 is very unlikely unless miracles happen. Top 10 we have a good chance at...

I think we finish Top 12 at worst in most services. No lower than that, I think. A strong finish would guarantee us Top 10 in almost every service's rankings.

I believe as long as we fill up to that 31 number that Pete threw out a few days ago, and we finish with some good solid players...our average across all the services should come out to somewhere between 7th/9th.
 
We finish with Bo and JC and they can keep the rest. Thats the 2 key pieces left, IMO.
