I love d$ but I hope he’s off the arch love fest after this…

Don't disagree with any of that, but sir, this is a football message board full of people who don't **** about football (including myself). Are you watching the all 22 of all Texas games?
No, watched a few from this season, offense only and a few from last year. Aside from watching their games on TV and hearing all the hub bub on Manning I wanted to see for myself, is it all him and if not what was really going on.

He is far from perfect but there is a lot of chaos happening in that offense whereas you don't see that on the defensive side.

And with that said, he’s still a lot more talented than arch is. Arch is in year four and still can’t anticipate throws or windows.
Oh I wasn’t comparing the two. Arch is a bust as far as the NFL goes. I am just saying it was a big reach for the Jets to pick him that high. He was never worthy of that pick.

That’s a fair projection. I don’t think Arch is generational. Where I pushback is this idea that he’s a total fraud. I think he has real talent and he’s tough.
His arm talent is good not great. He lacks touch on short to intermediate throws. He is way too inconsistent throwing receivers into space… he occasionally makes a nice throw to what have been open receivers. He has failed to show a real sense of pocket awareness. His footwork is not good.

But most of all he can not read a defense for his life.

so he is Daniel Jones.
Maybe in terms of build and athleticism. But Jones didn't even display that running ability in college even though he's broken a few longer runs in the NFL.
Daniels Jones wasn't even a good passer at Duke. He had one solid yr that wasn't even as good as Archs 2025. In his career he had more Turnover Worthy Plays than BigTimeThrows. I mean Jones 1.8TD:INT vs Arch 3TD:INT as starter.

Their passing stats per passing attempts is strikingly similar for their best season.. Obviously Duke had far less talent and was more reliant on a running game then Texas is-utilizes.

I would say Daniel Jones he is a comparable college QB who is just a step behind Arch athletically!

Does anyone believe in Daniel Jones? That was a flash in the pan last year and clearly a mis-evaluation on the NFL level. Should be a backup if anything in the NFL.

Can anyone think of a college quarterback who has had more advantages than Arch Manning?

The physical tools are obvious. He looks the part. But consider the circumstances: the Manning bloodline, a lifetime of access to Peyton, Eli, and Archie, and every resource and mentoring opportunity imaginable. Then he lands at Texas, surrounded by elite talent, a loaded offensive line, outstanding skill players, and a defense that can carry the team.

Yet here we are, four years into the program, and he still looks lost. He can put up numbers against inferior competition, but the moment he faces a competent defense, he seems to unravel. Even the playcalling suggests Sarkisian is still trying to protect him.

At one point today, he had roughly 90 yards on 16 attempts. That’s remarkable given everything around him.

At some point, you have to acknowledge that the problem isn’t physical ability or opportunity. It’s what’s between the ears. He doesn’t process the game at the level you’d expect from a quarterback with his pedigree and experience.

Frankly, I think the Daniel Jones comparison is generous.

… and this post was before that awful sack and fumble.

Should've been a receiver. He's enough of an athlete

QB is too much for 99% of players. No shame in that.

Arch is basically Rosier. Very average QB carried by a great team and makes a couple plays here and there to keep him on the field.
