I Can’t Stand Little Nicky, But…

Keep telling yourself that when we still suck in the next few years.

Mario is stubborn as a mule, and will either drastically change his philosophies or sink with the ship.

How can you ask for guys to work harder when they see that your schemes and systems are pure *****?

He’s not a National Championship winning head coach that can come in here and demand a certain standard when he has zero credibility to back that up. His teams consistently underachieved at Oregon, and now with him gone they are playing lights out. All of this with a first time head coach, new QB that was a bust elsewhere, and a RB that was also a bust elsewhere.
Ok you keep looking for that mythical coach who will magically be successful with players who have been conditioned to think they will just put on that helmet with the U on it and instantly be a first round drafts pick without having to work harder than the guy next to them.

Zero credibility to who exactly?

Butt hurt fans?

Mario has rings as a coach, and a player and his own conference titles.

A reputation he’s developed as a hard nosed hard working get the best out of you, father figure type.

it’s why he recruits so well.

And it baffles me that ppl can’t seperate their personal feelings from the facts.

And make stupid statements like “Mario can’t demand a standard?”

Bruh what leadership classes/book have you taken or read?

Do you know anything on the subject matter of leadership and team building?

Literally in Steve Walsh’s “the score takes care of itself” book he said despite the 9ners being 2-14 he established the standard DAY ONE and held everyone accountable to it. And a leader must set the standard from the beginning.

1) Mario has the credibility
2) the title gives him creditbility and when you agree to join an organization or a team you accept the standard and seek to live up to it or depart.

We’ll revisit your comment in a couple of years.

…I admire the way that he’s handling the backlash from fans and media after Baga’s second loss this season.

“Look, I can’t blame the players.” Saban said. “I’m responsible for all of this stuff. So if we didn’t do it right, that’s on me.”

That’s how a leader should lead. Taking the blame for failures, while enjoying all of the glory for success.

I wish Mario would have learned this from Saban, but apparently he didn’t. Blaming players is a bad excuse when the team looks this putrid. Take ownership, and fix it.

Neg away.

Bama is everything we wish we were, but we're not.

However, we have been.

When we start recruiting and building the depth they have, we can come back to this.

Yes, that was after repeatedly saying that he needs better players, and that they need to buy in and work harder. If that’s not throwing your players under the bus, then I don’t know what is.

Alex Ruiz also stated on Twitter after Saturday’s game the “Mario will be purging the team”, which tells me that Mario thinks he himself isn’t the main problem, since the Ruiz’s are so closely connected to Mario and the program.
And we know Cristobal isn't the problem.

How many of the current roster would you want on your favourite NFL team? It's a simple question, but highlights the problem we have.

Because those are his players that he recruited. The culture has been created. YOu are comparing a man that created the best dynasty in college football history in year 15 at Bama after SEVEN national championships to Mario's year ONE with 20 years of broken entitled culture and a rotten program.

Could you imagine him trying to blame the players after those recruiting classes he hauled in lmfao 🤣

We bought in Gattis and Steele to run their systems. The players we have were recruited to run completely different offenses and defenses, especially in the trenches. It's not a good mix. Let the coaches get some players of their choosing and then let's see what happens.

gattis has never been a good OC. he wasn't good at Michigan. he never called plays at Bama. Steele I dont have a huge issue with just think hes done as a DC in big time football. he was also a fired DC for being ******. his best offer after AU was MD

I’m not defending Zion. He quit on his team, and that’s rank.
Look like he tried to give it a go for big game against Texas AM and coaches didnt even play him at his position.. We essentially didnt need him from looks of it.. look like he got word to shut it down because we moved on and avoid injury.. He didnt quit
