I don't believe there's a black and white answer, or outcome, for a given record.
In most cases, sure, UM will give him the opportunity to make changes.
A lot of people envisioned him as a future head coach here, and it's tough to walk away and admit you're wrong on somebody this quickly.
He's exactly the guy today as when UM hired him-- a first-time head coach taking over a .500ish team with a 30th ranked recruiting class. Sure, he had his hand in it, but hey, you hired him.
The one small piece of information that people are overlooking, is that the administration did not view this as a rebuilding project. And, I'm not pulling that out of thin air either...
Everything that anybody, and I mean everybody, posts on this board is ultimately conjecture, period.
My contribution to that b******* pie, is that he will not survive 3-9 season. I'm pretty sure of that.
