Hey Hey Hey! No need to take a shot at us UM Student Affairs peopleehh he's not entirely wrong because the school did undergo a very hard left turn, but not in the way he describes.
it didn't happen much under shalala. she actually made an effort to keep the university as apolitical and neutral as possible.
the main driving force behind a lot of the "woke" stuff is pat whitely and her stooges in student affairs. she was the president of naspa (professional org for college admins) for a bit and brought back a ton of stupid initiatives to make the university tick all of the boxes in a school brochure. frenk is a figurehead that no one actually respects, so if she decides that she wants to jump on the latest thing it's going to happen.
Hard not to get excited about the potential of him and Kam at safety, chase and JW at LB and striker and then all those young DBs coming in next yr...LT at DT as wellHuge for outlook of safety room going forward. Put James Williams at striker now and move Chase to linebacker.
Canemc! All i could do is chuckle and giggle at yu spitting facts n truths! Flakes wife has more balls then flake!!

Strawman argument no one (certainly not the majority of Canes fans) has said let's ignore the charges because he is a talented football players. Everything you just posted has been posted ad nauseam. If the school has all the needed info, then why are some still trying to retry the case? If they know more and have made their decision, then let it go.This is a tough situation. I think too many people are choosing to look at his football talent over real life situation.
First and foremost, just because charges were dropped it doesnt mean he's actually innocent. Miami also has every right to suspend him, kick him off the team, and put of school if he violated the student code. It seems to me like they're doing their due diligence. If Miami has ANY information indicating he hit his pregnant gf he should be kicked out. There's no room for that in our society and I don't want that representing this team or our city. Idgaf who we play or how good he is. The information they put out as to why they dropped the charges is pretty serious. It's what happens in many of these DV cases that end up being warning signs that people later on look back and say a tragedy could have been avoided. I'm sure the team and the school have more information than we do.
I'm sorry, I thought this forum/board was a place for conversation. Next time, I'll make sure to run my opinions by you so you can decide whether I should post something or not.Strawman argument no one (certainly not the majority of Canes fans) has said let's ignore the charges because he is a talented football players. Heeeeeeeee's baaaaaack.
haha well as a former um student affairs admin and faculty, i can say that i have never met a bigger collective of spineless yes-people in my life (no offense if you are one, but you know what i'm saying is true). there are exceptions around, but pretty much everyone is either a true believer in whitely's crap or doesn't have the stones to call out bull**** where they see it.
Also original OP should look to present more objectively. He may have gotten some bad 1st hand info that should have been shared delicately. Pray for the mother and child turned out to be a little overzealous. The school made the decision and I support it as I said I would support whatever was decided by the school.
This is part of locking those threads. We didn’t need posters bashing the kid and turning things into an ugly war when the matter wasn’t resolved and he could return, regardless of the situation.
I think they need to look at modifying their initial reactions in the future in some situations - more going to an administrative leave type of thing to start as opposed to outright dismissal. This is more measured and gives them more flexibility to reinstate pending other factors as things develop.
Truth. @senac21Kudos to @senac21
Pay attention everyone - Go back and look at senac21's post to start this thread. THIS is the reason why so many of us long time posters try to tell people not to pile on posters who attempt to share stuff cryptically. You simply never know.
Thanks, senac21. - You're officially the poster of the day.
Or the university made a determination that what the kid needs is a second chance and structure. I'd suspect he is on a very short lease. For the kid's sake, I am glad the university brought him back into the program. A lot of kids left on their own end up in trouble.Yes I would like to say shame on this university for putting this upstanding young man through this before finding out the facts and giving him the right to clear his name. Glad they were smart enough to avoid a huge financial lawsuit and public black eye by reinstating him to correct their error.
That being said its more than enough time left to get Tae ready to start against Bama.![]()
