(I’m Hoping for Some) A. W. News

this isn't a college town. this is a metropolis with a suburban college in the middle.

regardless, the University is extremely liberal, from its trustees to administration to professors and many in the student body. liberal to the point of being radical. go and read the writing of the UM faculty of law or just about any other college within the university. you wouldn't believe their research and what they publish.
I should’ve just said “ College” , minus some religious schools of course. They’re all very liberal.

If you suspend him then you're acknowledging that he hit her, why else would you suspend him? If you're acknowledging that he hit her then he needs to be removed from the team.

lol The MeToo movement is dead, You can go play captain save a hoe somewhere else #FreeTae! :rickflair2:

This is mostly on the lawyers, less so on the BOT and then Frenk/Flake/Manny. Even if the lawyers say "no objection", the others have to decide if the optics are worth the risk.

lol at the bad legal takes people have. The university dismissal process is kangaroo court and you have very little legal redress.

Yep, Lots of non-lawyers rendering legal opinions. Lots of people who never went to UM rendering opinions on UM's disciplinary venues.

I knew a guy at UM who TRIED to order a teacher's edition of a textbook. Never received the book. ATTEMPTED cheating. Expelled. 1987.

do you know WHO the UM inhouse lawyers are? if that's the case, doesn't bode well for us.

The shun Tae crowd ON CIS is a lot quieter nowadays lmao.
FIFY, this is a hot potato for everyone involved, and its a 50/50 decision, so half the folks will be ****ed/disappointed at the outcome. My personal opinion has not changed, dont want him back on the team.

Imo he deserves a suspension. He keeps putting himself in bad situations and making dumb decisions. This all could’ve been prevented …….that doesn’t mean he beat anyone up or hit them.
I must have missed it but what other bad situations/dumb decisions has he been involved in? Last year he was out due to injury but I had not heard of any off the field stuff.

This I can respect the flip-flopers are the Karen's of the world.

Based on what, do you say this? UM did not “morph into into this”, any more than other major university.

All major universities are very liberal. That’s the nature of the beast.

ehh he's not entirely wrong because the school did undergo a very hard left turn, but not in the way he describes.

it didn't happen much under shalala. she actually made an effort to keep the university as apolitical and neutral as possible.

the main driving force behind a lot of the "woke" stuff is pat whitely and her stooges in student affairs. she was the president of naspa (professional org for college admins) for a bit and brought back a ton of stupid initiatives to make the university tick all of the boxes in a school brochure. frenk is a figurehead that no one actually respects, so if she decides that she wants to jump on the latest thing it's going to happen.

You make some good points, but I disagree re Shalala - she added a number of uber liberals to the BOT, and remember she is the one that promoted Jen Strawley over many more qualified candidates.

Or maybe he finally lives up to his potential, we finally have real coaching
Not saying its impossible but after 4 years do we keep hoping and wishing? I would argue we had worse DB coaching before Banda and our safeties performed much better. I'm never rooting against players but I believe at a point you are who you are.
