Not bad.
I’ve written before that Mesidor’s small/short area quickness is elite. Everyone talks speed and length, but the ability to change directions in an instant has come up time and time again with Mesidor.Did anyone else just see that breakdown on ESPN a minute ago during the Western KY - Southern Miss halftime show about Mesidor and Bain? They showed how on one of Bain's sacks, Mesidor had his right foot planted in a way that enabled his left foot to go around the LT and step THREE YARDS in a single step. When he did this, he forced the QB to move up and then run backwards. Bain then made a great play off of his man and got the sack. It was an excellent breakdown and really showed their skills and teamwork.
If I see video of it on twitter or something, I will post it.
He may sneak into round 1 depending on how long we play because we know if UM keeps winning, Mesidor will be a big part of that. And NFL people watching the CFB are just like NBA people watching March Madness.He is going to get dinged because he will be 25 on opening day but he is a lock Day 2 pick.
I know it’s not really a great comparison between the two, but I always think of Vince Wilfork when I think of guys who were so insanely good like that at changing direction. NFL will love that about Mesidor.I’ve written before that Mesidor’s small/short area quickness is elite. Off the top of my head;
he ran down a UF receiver to the sideline on a reverse
He kept Castellanos in the pocket with no place to go
What Wilfork could do, and how he could move at 340 lbs was unbelievable. Even at the NFL level.I know it’s not really a great comparison between the two, but I always think of Vince Wilfork when I think of guys who were so insanely good like that at changing direction. I had a class with him. You should have have seen him trying to squeeze into one of those old school high school-style desk chairs with the little table attached to it.What Wilfork could do, and how he could move at 340 lbs was unbelievable. Even at the NFL level.
Fitz is getting all the love for the INT but what Mesidor does on the final play should be criminal
Don’t have a clip of it but he collapses the entire right side of the line despite being basically triple teamed from the DT spot
Don’t need any PFF grades or some draft dorks to tell me if he’s elite or not
He’s elite

Every team left has a chance. But yes, we got a brutal draw. OSU and Georgia are the 2 most talented teams in the country and ATM is probably top 5 or 6.I'm not sure we have the juice to win it all. not being negative but A&M, Ohio State, UGA, Oregon/Indiana would be insane run
I hope we go far though because I dont think we'll have another DL like this for a long long time (if ever)
Miami should've been ranked 9 instead of Bama. That kind of got lost in the whole Miami/ND debate but we were all just happy to make it in (whoch obviously makes sense).Every team left has a chance.
