If Zo is the guy than that helps with MarioIf Highsmith is hired without an AD in place? Here we go… again.

Philadelphia Union. Did some gameday ops stuff with the Eagles too.Which pro teams in Philly did you work with?
How do you guys not realize that both the ad and someone like Mario would be on board…. Just because things are announced out of sequence doesn’t mean they weren’t done with all the stakeholders on board. If Miami is operating like this message board is implying Miami is operating then Miami is doing it *** backwards. How you do things matter. IF the incoming AD believes Mario is the best choice he should hire him. IF the AD and Mario believe a head of football ops position is warranted they should create one. IF they think Highsmith is the best person for the job and he wants it they should hire him.
Instead people who have no background in hiring football coaches or know the first thing about running successful athletic programs are making these moves and getting a man more qualified than they'll ever be to go along with it apparently. That could all be wrong. I'm just going by what is written here. And this all comes with the caveat that Jurich may very well actually come in with complete autonomy and do what he wants from the jump. I would hope so.
And it is funny to me that incompetence of the BOT is now just being washed away because a different part of that group is making moves that people here approve of. When they actually can be just as incompetent as past headliners.
Sounds like something personal. I never heard that man disrespect no one or throw around information just to get views and likes. If he says it, im gonna say its 90% fact. This guy is such a clown with his tweets and everybody just jumps on board. Lol. He's AWFULLY late to that party...
I went to high school and used to ”play” with the chick in this video. Her name is ErikaRemember this well. We used to laugh with him on this
thats what im saying. People like Barry Jackson and Tim Reynolds report stuff with the Admin spin on it. They don't report stuff to keep access. Streeter and X don't just say stuff. They are real plugged in with recruiting, way more than all the old media. Most don’t who he is And the fact he knows guys who are on staff in the building even before they got to Miami And he ask the best questions without a doubt during the week and post game. These dudes from caneville probably cover this team better than most the guys who been doing it for year ..**** he knows some of these players from park days etc..he ain’t just putting **** out
Nice!! I love soccer. Union are well run org.Philadelphia Union. Did some gameday ops stuff with the Eagles too.
Haha yessssss. Pat the Bat, Jeff Carter, Mike Richards….no female in Philly under the age of 24 was safe.Remember this well. We used to laugh with him on this
Yup. Ppl here have no idea. Ran into them at the Bama game tailgating. They cool ppl too. Can easily see why players, ex players, recruits, coaches etc give them their time and respect their platform..they easily relate to the football culture down here. And honestly it’s about time.thats what im saying. People like Barry Jackson and Tim Reynolds report stuff with the Admin spin on it. They don't report stuff to keep access. Streeter and X don't just say stuff. They are real plugged in with recruiting, way more than all the old media.
There’s a Philly video out there somewhere You Just got Burrelled! Basically, you better hide your girlfriend, sister, and mom or they’ll get Burrelled.
.
I don’t care if we get Mario or not. I want an AD that knows more than us than to play fan favorite. For example, how does the AD in Baylor know which coaches to hire? They seem like they hit on all the right coaches. That’s what I want in Miami. If Zo is the guy than that helps with Mario
I think that must be the higher ups wanting to win and providing the financial help. They do hit on their coaches though.I don’t care if we get Mario or not. I was there year 1 of the organization. Went to the first ever MLS draft with the team. It was awesome being apart of that. Looking back at it though I now realize how pathetically run that organization was. Nick Sakiewicz was soooo horrible. The guy had no clue how to run an organization; everything was so dysfunctional.Nice!! I love soccer. Union are well run org.
I have a relative that works in IT during game days for Eagles.
Love my Philly sports teams except the Sixers.
He actually isn't qualified. He's just a Miami guy. His nfl experience doesn't translate. You don't think a guy like Jurich would be comfortable with a guy like Alonzo who has years as an NFL executive to be Associate AD? It is not like Alonzo is some incompetent. The dude is highly qualified.
Academies are everything in world soccer, but especially here in the US because of selling players. FC Dallas is making a killing selling players to Bayern Munich, their partner team in GermanyI was there year 1 of the organization. Went to the first ever MLS draft with the team. It was awesome being apart of that. Looking back at it though I now realize how pathetically run that organization was. Nick Sakiewicz was soooo horrible. It’s good to see how far they’ve come. Ton of good moves including investing in the academy. They’ve been making bank selling young talent to Europe.
Huge Flyers fan too.
Right, and I suspect they don’t have former players dictating who the Baylor AD should hire. If Jurich is the choice for AD, I want him to hire the guy he thinks is the best candidate. The Columbus crew can go pound sand if they don’t like it.I don’t care if we get Mario or not. I want an AD that knows more than us than to play fan favorite. LoL, okay.He actually isn't qualified. He's just a Miami guy. His nfl experience doesn't translate.
So make him Associate AD under the new AD as well as Football Recruiting Director. If his expertise has been in talent evaluation, use his experience. Give him the opportunity to learn under a well-qualified AD as to what the total job entails (i.e. Jurich). I'm all for giving former players a chance, but be qualified.Come on, man, you think that's all Zo is going to do? Draft evals?
Zo could be talking to kids for 3 years, tempering expectations, letting them know what they need to do if they want to turn pro early. It's not just as simple as "one draft eval". Open up your mind a bit to the possibilities here.
I know for a fact that Ed Reed has had NUMEROUS conversations with kids about their "options", whether that is pro or portal.
This guy is such a clown with his tweets and everybody just jumps on board. Lol. He's AWFULLY late to that party...
I was a sports admin major too. I think Zo’s experience goes beyond a support staff role. He’s the exact person you would create a football AD position for. He could still do all the things you mentioned just at a higher level with more of a staff.I was a sport management major and spent 3 years working in different sports organizations in PhiladelphiaI have several friends that work in athletic departments and also professional sports organizations.
Look, I am 100% on board with Zo being chief of staff or director of player personnel reporting directly into the HC. Him supporting with recruiting and transfer portal responsibilities is totally up his alley and I think he would crush it. But I view that as a support staff role. Not an admin role reporting into AD.
And I would want the HC to hire Zo. Not the board. If there’s no AD in place I’m not sure why we’d rush to hire Zo.
