Highsmith to the U?

Heat fan! I started hating the Sixers when they drafted Allen Iverson over Ray Allen.

Let me Edit this: I Played D1 baseball in college in Philly. Loved Ray Allen as college player. My favorite.

I then saw just about everything behind the scenes as to how Allen Iverson was because they would practice on our campus and we used the same facilities as them. Despised pretty much everything as to how he approached basketball, prescribe, being a teammate, etc.
Well, you have your reasons. Eagles is king in Philly, anyway.

I think you're mistaken.

We're all speculating about what Alonzo's role could or would be, but judging from his background in the Packers scouting or personnel department, if he is hired as a general manager of sorts and is primarily tasked with finding recruits to fulfill the head coach's vision, why would that encroach on the AD?
It doesn’t, some people just can’t deal with non standard approaches to organizations. If this is true, it’s definitely been reviewed and agreed to by the new AD.

Man, don’t lie. You’re favorite player was Eric Snow and that ugly a$$ jumper - lol

Anyway, back to Alonzo Mourning
I liked McKie better than Snow. 😂😂😂

But I loved Dr J growing up. Was mad they traded Stackhouse, but forgave them, cause no cap, loved Iverson. But the other AI was MY DUDE when he played in Philly.

P.S. sorry for the vomit reaction, wasn't a big fan of Snow. Lol and BTW, I am a closet Hest fan. Loved Zo as far back when he was in Charlotte with Mugsy and Grandmama.

Sounds like something personal. I never heard that man disrespect no one or throw around information just to get views and likes. If he says it, im gonna say its 90% fact.
It's absolutely a fact. Just something that was done long ago and he's aware of that. His capacity will change but he knows that too. So when someone is aware of the situation which since I'm aware who he talks to even though he drastically filters things that means if you're posting things this late than u must want clicks. U r absolutely right though how that would come across. I don't mean him personally as I've never had an issue with him and he seems like he's pretty cool people. I mean to say something like that knowing the story behind it that is a joke. Clarification is relevant here though.

He wasn't hired as anything more than an advisor to the board.
This makes sense. If Highsmith is granted any control over football, the new head coach would have to be ok with him running part of the show.

Why would a winning coach leave a situation where they are running the show to come here and take less power?

Oh do plz tell more, as a hoops fan and some who played in the ABA you have my attention about Iverson.

My only concern as stated before is that if the Columbus mafia gets Mario like as proposed is that Jurich/Zo won’t be able to touch him.

Hypothetically let’s say Mario recruits out of this world to the point that his losing of games he shouldn’t (something he’s known for) is something he doesn’t grow out of and we keep bringing top 5 classes but he keeps winning 9/10 games and can’t get us over the hump. At that point you can justify moving on so the program takes the next step. I don’t see Jurich/Zo ever being able to make that type of move if Mario is the hire.
5-6 years of 9/10 wins, multiple too 15 seasons..... ill take that

He’d show up late 95% of the time reeking of alcohol to morning practices. Always would park his Bentley in the handicap spots as he rolled up late.

Sometimes, practice was already a good 30 minutes in & he shows up and without warming up, he’d jump right into the middle of a play set that was going on in practice. It would drive Larry Brown crazy but he would allow it. Then, after 45 minutes of practice, he would leave, lol, unless it was playoff time. Just things like that.
