I fully understand the idea of just hiring somebody from Columbus cause the decision makers are from Columbus but Mario is the #1 candidate for the job. He comes here and succeeded he is here for a decade, lane can flame out in 3 years or be ready to leave again after some success like he is now.

Also he doesn’t get mentioned with the top tier that often but it would be hard to find many coaches flat out better than Whittingham

Lol the screwy Covid year. You mean the year that allowed him to finish third in the division and make the title game because Washington had Covid. He was helped more than hurt.

8-8 in conference road games while playing in the worst division in the Power 5. Those recruiting numbers don’t help him. It shows he is wasting talent. That team doesn’t play anywhere near those rankings

I’ve always viewed Jurich as the guy and his name has always been one of the two names always popping up. Hernandez has supporters on the other side of the room. He‘s the typical guy ” that group ” would want. There’s also a previous relationship with Mario. I only mentioned him because hearing his name instantly sounded like something they‘d do in the past lol. The one positive all the people with the plan and money wants Jurich. But there’s around a hundred members.

Lane inherited the number 1 QB in the nation. How did he do without him against a bad Auburn team this year? Put up 20 points and lost. Nick Saban isn’t walking through the door. If we get Mario OR Lane that is a massive win at this point.

Dorsey Lit up Greentree the summer of 99...against a secondary that would finish #4 in America, that didn't give up a TD the last 27 quarters of the season....I too had my doubts until I witnessed that...It was only a matter of time for him, regardless of Kenny Kelly's injury.
