Herb Waters

I didn't get the lack of playing time last year for Waters at all. Never saw a good reason as to why. I'd rank our WR's 1. Coley 2. Waters 3. Scott.

I remember Herb as a Freshman and was like this kid has major talent. Even in the FSU game last year, he made a **** of a catch. Herb is always consistent, just like Hurns. Golden is wasting yet another one of the talented 2012 class signees career's away.

Best possesion receiver on the rooster.

But, Al's favorite, butter finger Berrios is stealing all of his reps.

Not a good route runner and often does not recognize the defensive scheme , thus not allowing him to make correct adjustments. The mental part of the game is as important as the physical aspect. This is the reason he does not play more, not some conspiratorial explanation.

Whenever I see his name, all I hear is Chris Berman saying Ricky running Waters. Anyhow, I feel like he's being wasted here. I've seen more out of him than BB who doesn't pose a matchup problem for anyone.

I'm glad you shared the first part.

Shields had speed but was unreliable. I think this is a bad move. Always liked what I saw out of Waters at WR

That's odd. He sure makes a lot of catches/plays when he is given the opportunity for a guy that's a poor route runner.

Yea Waters would be a completely opposite style of CB than Shields. Sam was just pure speed and got by on that until he learned the position. But Herb has potential to be more of a physical CB using skills he's learned a WR. Worth a shot.

Herb Waters should be a focal point at wr.......kid has the goods...not sure if he is a "kiss up" type of guy....so kid has been in the doghouse or something.Anytime ive watched him he has performed.....but Berrios, Malcolm Lewis has eaten some of his minutes..which i dont get...Kid can play the lsot as well....

He should be out there more times than not. As you said, something is keeping him off the field outside of performance. What that is? I have no clue but he is a guy that can really help keep the chains moving vs some of the others we have.

Golden wants to blame the offense for last season but he wasted 2 of his top players at this position.

You people are nuts. Corn and Herb just switched positions for 1 play. A few DB's and WR's have did that during practice just for fun. Chill out he's not switching positions..

We know this wasn't serious. **** we don't have the depth at WR to pull a stunt like this. We were talking more about his playing days after UM. Could he be a decent WR in the league or a really good DB? Who knows.

Our "Guys who make the team plane" at WR IMO should be: Coley, Scott, Waters, Lewis, Berrios, Brady.

Seems to have always played with a chip on his shoulder even back to the camp circuit in high school. I don't see him as a kiss-up and for that I love the kid, not sure why he wasn't getting more time but it's a **** travesty.

I said when he was coming up that I liked him better at CB. Still do.

Personally I love Herb at WR and suspect that politics have been the cause of his diminished playing time. I think Herb would be a great fit at CB but I think he would be more "natural" at Safety where he could be an excellent ball hawking type.
