I hate this situation but I understand it.
Yes, commit to your dream school and help them win regardless of who is there. On the flip side every high school player in America dreams of playing in the NFL. We all focus on the recruiting aspect of 4 and 5 star kids but EVERY HS player would love to get this best chance to prove themselves at a school that will give them opportunity. Let's face it if you lead the NCAA in rushing someone is going to draft you. It doesn't matter what school you played at.
You could play at BAMA,LSU,UF, MIAMI, Bowling Green or whatever. The league is not going to ignore the NCAA's top rusher and these kids care about getting to the league. Not necessarily school pride. Though a few of them do care about that and I salute those players like Duke and others.
Let's be real if YOU want to get to the league as a RB does it make sense to go to a school with 2-3 other (4 total) 4 and 5 star freshman committed there. Or make your own name elsewhere where you might see carries before you junior or senior season.
I would go to my dream school (Miami) and not give a **** about anything else but that's not how the young boys think. They want to live that rich and famous life. Not the I got passed up on the depth chart and graduated from school life. (Even though that should be the goal)
