I didn't say the staff lied because this situation is still going on. What Jordan is saying is he is going to monitor the situation and how it plays out. There has been a lot of things that have been said to Jordan and his family which isn't going to be shared on here or anywhere so this situation has to play out.

It's not about the staff satisfying Cronkrite in any way. He wants to be part of a 2 RB class and our staff has said on numerous occasions they are only taking 2. Walton reclassifying was brought up months ago between Cronkrite and staff and what I can tell you now is the staff didn't expect it at all and it's still not official because there may be issues with it and only time will tell.

As a recruit this is the one time you get to choose the best situation for you and he thought he had the best situation but things change so you can't fault the kid for questioning the situation and being cautious.

Thanks Token for the insight. I hope he waits to see what happens as I don't think the reclassification happens IMO. Wiliams if he sticks will be more of a WR jack of all trades so the only 2 true RB's would be Scarlett and JC. Take your visits but let it play out.

Since I'm close with This situation I will clarify something's since the writer only quoted 2 lines of the interview from Cronkrite. As he said it's not about competition but if the staff said one thing to him and now they are doing something else who knows if this will be the last time they change their mind on something which would affect him in one way or another. He was raised to honor his word and he expects the people he deals with to do the same and right now they aren't.

Him being realistic has to do with 3 coming in how do they determine who gets first crack behind Yearby because I can tell you the staff is not even counting much from Gus and Tucker may be gone. Now some people may disagree with what I have been told but out of the 3 Walton gets first crack because of him being a pipeline kid. The staff has denied this to Cronkrite which was brought up by his family and head coach but he is starting to wonder how much he can believe what they say.

I'm friends with a few HS head coaches down here and we have talked about this situation and they don't like how it's going and mention this is something the staff has done in the last few years and it hasn't sat well with them and they keep it in the back of their minds when dealing with their players.

Now say what you want about this situation but this is a kid that shut his recruiting down completely after committing only to now have to do something he never wanted to do and that is start listening to more BS from other schools.

Seems like he's looking for a way out in order to not have competition. Walton hasn't reclassified (officially), Scarlett hasn't committed and coaches answered his families question, and he's not sure what to believe.

He's choosing to "listen to BS from other schools"

Sorry, not buying it.

People prob wont agree with me on this but I hope Walton can't reclassify and that JC and Dex stick. TBH although i like Scarlett a lot I would rather have JC and Dex. JC loves Miami and bleeds canes, he's been vocal on trying to help build this class...we can't let him go. Dexter's ability speaks for itself so...that JMO though

Token cane tell cronk and the fam that the canes is in a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation.... Right now fur sure we have Dex who's is an athlete that will be used on offense at multiple positions because the coaches mainly like his speed and explosiveness and then we have to see if he sticks as we are not out of the waters because the gators will keep trying to flip him, walton qualifying for the 2015 is still not a done deal.... If Dex leaves and walton stays in the 2016 then we would only bring 1 running back if we stop recruiting Scarlett..... That would leave us with only 3 scholarship runningbacks to start the season next year. We have to keep pursuing Scarlett because you never know what could happen with DEX or walton qualifying in this class or not. Miami is in a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. Hey... Who would have thought our running back class would like this early on? It's shaping up good regardless of how it plays out

Yea, stop recruiting RB and when Williams bolts last minute, you're stuck with one RB.

This staff never gonna win with "high school coaches down here " you miss on big time players you get bashed , you get big time players to commit they still bash because their player might not be talented enough to beat another guy out , if JC wants out best of luck to him but him being a well brought up kid should know there's no guaranteed success for a high school player going into college who knows if 3 out of the 4 don't pan out ? He should understand that if a big time recruit from down here wants in YOU let him in we aren't in a position to turn kids away , whoever JC goes he'll have to fight for a spot

You're missing the entire point here...the staff told Cronkrite one thing, and did another. The staff lied to him.

That's not the first time this staff has done that either
.

Explain. I thought Williams and Walton were committed to Miami before Cronk. Explain the lies.

Our fans with their SFL connections do more negative recruiting against us than our rivals.

All the info is in this thread. Just read.

As for previous issues, just use the search function.

Kids at the same positions being told they're the #1 prospect on Miami's board by the same coach.

Kids being told they have offers, committing, then being told they don't have an offer.

Why do you think Glolden hired Tim Harris Sr. and Baez?

How bout the most likely scenario.

See Walton ending up in '16 like a lot of us suspect already. I still doubt the reclassification.

We take Cronk, Williams and Scarlett. Williams as more of the athlete position, could play just about anywhere on the field.

And call it a day. That's what I really see happening realistically.

Nothing to explain. The guy has been throwing around nonsense for awhile. A lot of legitimate negative things you can say about the staff but he is doing a poor job of it in a couple of threads.

Selective memory loss is a treatable condition.

TIA for following me around the internetz.

It is recruiting. Happens with every school all the time. SFL being SFL --- holding something against Miami they wouldn't hold against some one else.

Token could it be the staff thinks Cronk won't influence where JJ and Irvin go but Scarlett brings Bruce and a few others in the 2016 class.I wonder if all 3 Cronk,Irvin and JJ were already commited to miami if they would have gone all out for Scarlett.

That would be a dream come true but I doubt JC believes that we are taking Dex as a athlete. If Scarlett commits...then no matter what happens with walton will lead to a JC decommitment which I would hate

Yea, stop recruiting RB and when Williams bolts last minute, you're stuck with one RB.

The staff has explained this over and over to Jordan that they have to take 2 and he knows this but also the staff said who they are willing to let walk when they officially get 3 2015 commits which they don't as of now according to the staff and also explained how they will let that person know. He is well aware of that but the way he is quoted in an interview it comes out a little different. All he has said is he doesn't want to be part of a 3 RB class, that's it.

All the info in this thread doesn't lead anyone rational to believe that Cronkrite was lied to. The staff is doing their job. You recruit Scarlett for fear that Williams might bolt or because Williams will be more Tavon Austin/Dexter McCluster than true RB. The only thing that would make any sense is that Cronkrite believes that the staff knew Walton had a great chance of reclassifying and said otherwise. Other than that they're handling the situation perfectly because officially there are only two RBs in this class with one that could decide to play someplace else.

you can't bleed orange and green and be talking about jumping ship. Also give me the kids that's not worry about whose else is coming. I said it before when Token first started talking about this BS. Unless he thinks the staff is going to play seniority ball whoever is coming in with him shouldn't matter if he's not scared to compete. Smh worried about who gets first crack.

The staff did not lie to him, the situation just changed. Walton wasn't reclassified when Cronk was told we were only taking 2. It would make sense to say if we pick up another he's leaving, but this is completely stupid, and to me, shows he's a little scared of competition

Ill be surpised if Walton is here in 2015(eligible)...and I have seem them all play and I feel Cronkite and Scarlett are wayyyy more talented then Walton. Walton is better than OT he's good ant everything but great at nothing..He doesnt have the explosion of Scarlett and Cronkite IMO. I cant wait to see these opening numbers
