I really hope Golden is doing this for his camps with high school coaches in LA, GA, AL and North FL. No better way to get kids to your school who would have never made a trip otherwise.

That's not what this is done for. This is done for no other reason than to get $$$$ in pockets. You think a Jon Drummond takes kids on a bus to SEC schools for the benefit of the kids, no sir. He makes a grand at each stop for "coaching" and if they produce a kid they get more on the return trip...a speaking engagement probably easily 5k+. How do you think the Gatewood relationship worked to deliver Alex Collins, or was the South Plantation team (that wins nothing) just a prime example of great coaching to bring that guy to Madison, Wisconsin and pay him a couple grand each year to do it.

Very true this is the "legal way" lol to get money to influential people around prospects, most teams do this and basketball its worse. The camp appearance stipend is anywhere from 2,100 to 5,000. I know this because my best friend and teamate in highschool was a 4 star recruit and his dad was offered to speak at a camp and thats what he was offered money wise. The SEC has taken this loop hole to another level. They have coaches making appearances 2 or 3 times a year.... But the NCAA allows this. It has to be approved by the athletic director as well..

Is this Ice Harris or Tim Jr speaking?

I would think the Miami wouldn't allow him to speak at a function that's benefits LSU

If you're attending a "coaching clinic" at a major college program wouldn't one think that the seminars would be led by that school's corches? Ohhhhh, my bad. This is just LSU being benevolent and providing a forum for peers to learn from one another. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Every school does this. Calm down.

Also, if he clicked the link he'd see that in addition to these coaches listed high school coaches from other states are talking as well as LSU's coaches.

I dont think that is true UF coaching clinic has 1 high school coach speaking and the rest are the UF staff members and one NFL coach.

After we won state championship in 2012 we had calls from all over the country to speak. We have spoken at FSU in the past, and was supposed to speak at LSU this season.

Ray Lewis seems to be doing more for other schools than his own, that greedy *****!

Really? How many of UM's recruiting competitors has he been speaking for? We just lost a huge recruiting battle for one of our most important recruits to LSU. Do they need our legends to help them? I guess they're paying him a lot and/or he needs the money, now that he's not playing.

Seems kind of traitorous to me, but that's just my way of looking at it.
