If you are going to put Feagles back in there, he better be on a extremely short leash.
Or what, you'll put the other suck-*** punter back in? Threats only work when you have a viable alternative.

Seems like it’s all mental for Feagles if we keep hearing he’s tearing it up in practice. Maybe a couple games off was good for him. I really have no idea tho lol the situation is a mess.Or what, you'll put the other suck-*** punter back in? Threats only work when you have a viable alternative.

Of course it's mental, every 3rd kick of his is great. I don't know either if time off will have changed anything, but I know as of now we're screwed either way.
I would just go with the guy with better upside and stick with him. I assume that's Feagles. Put him in, let him suck about as much as the other guy and hope he gets his sht together.
Either way, coverage needs to tighten up and try to make up for our sht punting.
Except he’s had about a year and a half to get his shlt together. What’s going to change in the next three or four games that’s going to make it any different than the last 17 or 18 games
Probably nothing, but it's not just about him. It's also about who we have as a replacement.
I'm so ambivalent that I'm fine playing Spicer, I just think we should stick with somebody.
If you look at this thread it looks like it’s about 50-50 Spicer or Feagles. And that’s pretty much the way I feel - one has potential but is mentally destroyed or has the worst case of the yips ever, the other guy just doesn’t have the big leg.
Maybe Weldon has a little "somethin'" to help Feagles with his heebee geebees.

Just tell Feagles to shank it out of bounds every time and he'll start booming them down the field. Seems like he does the opposite of what we want.Im with Feagles getting another shot.
Having Spicer kick a 40 yard punt with a 20 yard return is no better than a 20 yard shank. In fact in that scenario, Id rather take the shank out of bounds so there is no chance of a return TD. When Feagles hits it flush, he's got the hang time and distance. As been stated, its mental. The only thing from a mechanics standpoint that looks odd is how he drops the ball to a point. But Im no punting guru so what do I know.
Give me Feagles and I'll live with the booms/shanks if these are my choices. I'm a Richt supporter for the most part but if these 2 are still our best choices on next year's roster Im going to be ****ed.
Its definitely worth a lookCan Bubba punt?
It was a combination of a low punt and lack of effort. I saw a few punts where guys looked like they were jogging down on coverage. Now maybe they didn't want to create running lanes when a normal punt with good hang time would have put them in position. However, you have to sprint down, then motor down when you locate the ball. Richt did comment that he was disappointed at the coverage effort so I think what I saw was correct which was loafing by dome players. The punt return for a TD was on knowles. That punt would’ve been covered except 20 side stepped and opened a lane for him like a matador fighting a bull. It’s more personnel than anything. Special teams is not rocket science and we’re making it to be some algorithm from another planet.
Nah, they were not. They were flat. So low that the punt returner had time to do his hesitatation move before taking off for his touchdown run. If he had hang time, you would have seen fair catches or at minimum, an immediate attempted tackle. That was not the case. Punt returner had plenty of time and space to work with.FSU's longest two returns were punts with pretty decent hangtime. That's not on Spicer.
I'm curious to see if Feagles takes a redshirt. Need a ST coach
