Greg with a pick

The biggest bull**** ever was people whining about Greg's sacks like they didn't count. The "coverage" sacks. Like, I've never heard a player get **** on for something like that. It was also funny because they said about half of his sacks were due to this. Guy got 15.5 sacks and he didn't start the first 4 games. Even if you take half those sacks away, it's a ton.

There was a core group on here that wouldn’t let it go and called him a quitter.

It’s his life and was his right to do as he needed for his own family. I was surprised when it impacted his draft status. That part the haters were right about but the hate I didn’t agree with. People have responsibilities to their own as well.
The haters weren't right about it, though. The reason GR slipped so far was because of his lackluster pro day. If he put up Phillips numbers at his pro day, he goes in the top 10. And that's not even playing the what if game - 2 guys who sat out 2020 were selected in the top 12 (Chase and Parsons). Sure, some teams pay lip service all they want and say they prefer guys who played, but it's the NFL. A GM would run over his own mother to pick a stud player.

Sounds like you know better than me. They said he’d drop in the draft and he did drop though I think their narrative was “quitting” which was based on them being mad for some reason. A bad pro-day combined with opting out where there wasn’t a ton of film on him to begin with then it is I guess.

Every time Greg was on the field, he made something happen. It just didn’t matter. He was probably the most impactful player on either side of the ball we’ve had in the last decade.

If Covid doesn’t happen we would have heard him mentioned in the same vibe as the Bosa/Chase Young type of players I firmly believe that. He was the one guy that had the potential to take over a game had we got to see more of him.

Can’t wait to see his future.

The other one was we put him inside and he beat up on guards. Well, couldn't everyone else in the ACC have done that too? I can't stand Manny but aren't you supposed to create good match ups for your players? Anyone think Ohio Taint didn't move Chase Young side to side to get a better matchup?

There was a point where the announcers were talking him up and said the Bills didn't intend for him to be a starter immediately, but after seeing his performance with the pads on in the preseason there was no one in the room willing to argue he wasn't deserving of a starting spot.

They needed Manny in that Bills locker room to talk sense into them.

Is it too early to dig up the Rousseau threads from right before the draft that had half the fans on here saying he was overrated and not that great? When can we do it? Im ready now. LOL.
