Great Single Season Performance Nominations

I love this thread. A lot of recent Canes, but sometimes we overlook good seasons cuz the team sucked

Hank 2010: 72,1156, 13
Hurns 2013: 62, 1162, 6
Rambo: 79, 1172, 7

Duke in 14 is underrated because the team was so bad and he was a bit of a can crusher but 1,652 with 10 scores rushing, another 421 and 3 scores receiving is a monster year

And to say it’s an all time great, but Lamar Miller is one of my favorites and he had a big year in 2011 (even though the team sucked again): 1272 and 9 scores

Finally, the three best linebackers the last 15 years that need love

Spence in ‘10 had 110 tackles, 16 TFL, 2.5 sacks, 2 FF, 1 FR

Perryman’s senior season: 110 tackles, 9.5 TFL, 2 sacks, 3 FF, and a pick. That’s a big year….

Shaq’s senior year numbers: 107 tackles, 15.5 TFL, 1 sack, 2 FR, 1 FF *ducks for mentioning Shaq*

It should be the 100 greatest embarrassing moments over the last 20 years of shame.

Full system *****.

We have USC WEST tears over what is happening here.

We haven't played them in the last 50 years.

: pinky finger up : sips tears

Not easy to decide number one… Losing to FIU or closing out the OB to Virginia. For me the Virginia loss hurt more, because the old lady deserved better. Wins and losses come and go. There’s always another next, but that last dance will live forever

All great, but for what it’s worth, Duke played behind an ALL WORLD OL. Love the kid, his game and cherish his time here. However, his struggles weren’t with his side of the ball.

... or the guy from Oklahoma winning the Thorpe over Sean Taylor.

Derrick Strait, who was a straight bust, ironically. Dude won the Thorpe & Nagurski that yr. Will never forget. Two subpar OU players at the NFL level stole Thorpe awards from 2 of the all time greatest CFB & NFL Safeties in history (And everyone knows ST was heading to 1st ballot status before dying prematurely).

I took the Flanigans party bus with 50 family members who aren't even canes fans to that game.

I've only walked out of two canes games.

2007 UVA
2015 Clemson

I feel your pain. Fwiw I cheered for Clemson that entire game. There’s only two times that I wanted an *** whooping. Randy’s USF and Goldens Clemson. They both needed to be gone and without those games, they might both still be here. I think the last 16/17 years of pain is about to be over for us all. The last game I walked out of was GT home at halftime. I could feel it coming and couldn’t stomach another one being thrown in my face. I wasn’t entertaining anyone and just wanted to be alone when it happened. It’s amazing how deep they all cut. You’re a more patient person than I am.

The level of joy I am experiencing since December has no words.

Didn't Dan Stubbs have a single monsteropus season? I know he had a great career, but fee there was season in particular that he had 39 sacks.

Mel Bratton had that season where he had like 7 touchdowns in the first 2 games.

Jerome was always awesome and important. His last year could get a nomination.

Stubbs had an incredible yr in 1986, but he kind of owes alot of that to Jerome being double/tripled teamed on a regular basis.....
Medearis is the Best true Edge rusher in UM History.....Never has been a Motor like his....especially being as undersized as he was.

I think for 100 players, we need to open our eyes wider.... for a clear example, the senior season of Braxton "Honey Nut" Berrios.

And, although more iffy", maybe the senior season of Brock Berlin.

****, Tremaine Mack is probably deserving too.

Jim Burt, Eddie Brown, Michael Irving, Bennie Blades, Kevin Williams, Burgess Owens, Daniel Stubbs, Antrell Rolle, etc., Michael Barrow, Jay Brophy, Alonso Highsmith, Dennis Harrah, Dan Cline, Jim Otto, Jerome Brown, etc

the thing about Bryant is that he's as nice a guy as he is big. Extremely personable and nice. Heard that about him since he was at the U

And nothing has changed. Great ambassador for the program...

I sat behind Bryant McKinnie at a Prince concert at Sunrise Musical Theater. Almost had to go ask for my money back.

Ask Shannon....Merriweather was named starter over Threat after a disappointing 1st game in 05, because Shannon gonna Shannon....If I remember correctly, Threats Parents had a couple of meetings with Coker & Shannon and layed into both of them (in ref to why Greg lost his starting position) @Brooklyndee I think you'd agree
it was a weird fall from grace. @Brooklyndee what was the story there if you don't mind sharing? randy doghouse?

Eddie Brown 1984

Bennie Blades 1986

Cortez Kennedy 1989

Michael Barrow 1992

Warren Sapp 1994

Willis McGahee 2002

Are the ones that come to mind immediately for me..
I like all of these. Add Morgan and it's complete for my era. Never saw Hendricks play. Barrow 1992 great call. Stepped up all season. Stonewalling Richie Anderson on 4th and goal against Penn St is a forgotten HUGE play that season.

Go Canes!

I had a similar experience sitting behind Derrick Harris in a class in the Memorial building. The only solace was watching him try to extricate himself from the chair desk.
