Just curious, but what are the other teams doing? Are they talking off for finals? Or do most of them get a free A like UNC? I want to hold off any judgement on this until I know what the other teams are doing. Especially the teams that will probably playing in the "Christmas Bowls".

I think it was probably a big part of why the didn't hire him. The buyout did what it's supposed to do: make your coach less desirable to other schools by penalizing them financially for taking him from you.

Whether it's 5 or 8 mil, PSU is know for being cheap. As much as they liked Al, they liked James Franklin too and Franklins buyout was either less or negotiated down. Simple choice at that point for PSU.

When your AD is a powerless hermaphrodite, this kinda **** happens. A powerful AD would have seen that situation as an opportunity for us to get a better coach by negotiating a smaller buyout, realizing that Al was being wayyy overvalued.

Please don't make it seem like UM stopped Folden from getting the Ped State gig. He didn't get that job, despite begging for it like a pauper, because they liked Franklin better.

I just don't think you guys understand how tired the players are from having to play 9 night games. It was actually a blessing that they didn't make the ACCCG because it would have been another night game and possibly affected the teams performance in the first couple of games next season. I believe the recovery time is something like 4 weeks for every 1 night game played. For the soon to be seniors, its like they're back in their first year again because of the mental and physical fatigue and breakdown that comes with night games. I think canceling spring practices should be considered as well.

Accounting for travel, bowl festivities(best buy shopping spree, field trip to wherever) and off days the team might get 8-10 practices in.

But the rules don't stop him for getting a couple of practices in this upcoming week. Maybe let Rosier run something other than the scout team. Uh, next year's redshirt freshman QB who will likely be the backup QB. Figuring out what position Trayone Gray is gonna play. All the redshirts could use this time. See what we have in these guys. Look, Miami should dismiss Golden. I definitely agree with that. He's been given 4-years and we're no better off than when they fired Randy. That being if they get in 2-full weeks, which is pretty typical for these ***** bowls then that's fine in my opinion.
