Going Forward

Me to Mario: You keep using that word “fine”. I do not think it means what you think it means. IMG_9614.gif

I am pretty confident we will see Kam, Lee and Parrish back for GT. Although their backups will be good enough for a win against GT, I think you need these three sharp for tougher competition and their backups aren’t as good. It makes sense to get them some quality conference reps before heading to Chapel Hill. Mesidore and Deen are also great players, but I think it’s easier for a DL to walk into the UNC game and contribute given the depth and what is required of a DL

Any chance Kelly is that bendy, edge threat we desperately need? Haven’t seen it yet

This season’s outcome will depend on our injury list. Guys like Lee, Deen, and Mesidor are irreplaceable — three of the best players on the team.

We absolutely NEED them for games like UNC, Clemson, FSU, etc.

I think we can handle GT in two weeks, but after that I have major concerns, especially along the DL. If we can’t pressure guys like Maye or Travis, we’re ****ed.

Good win yesterday. It feels great to be 4-0 and to have won convincingly in every game. Praying we can get healthier over the bye week before we get to the meat of our conference schedule.
So you think we have no chance of outscoring UNC or FSU in a shootout with our QB, this OL, & the weapons at RB & WR running Dawson's scheme? Obviously we want our DL healthy. But that is nonsense.

I didn’t say that. But we would be sweating a lot of games out. I don’t want to be a classic Big 12 team winning games 45-41 each week.

Right….but I’d expect that against Temple. I’m not sure we get the same performance against a Clemson or FSU.
I dont disagree but we have better depth along the lines then we thought going into the season. Every team gets injuries and outside of a few schools they can be detrimental. I expect a fully healthy team come GT minus Mesidor

haven't heard a direct quote but it seems like mesidor, lee, kinchens will be fine for conference play

deen I think is an unknown but he'll have been sitting for a whole month by the time we need him so at least it happened when it did
No insider info but it does seem that those guys would have played yesterday if it were Clemson or FSU.

My main concern at this point is injuries. There just isnt the quality depth at C and along the DLine. The secondary is still a bit shaky(minus Kam) and of course the QB position.

I will say this and I am being as objective as I can here. If Miami stays injury free for the most part, there is the "potential" and I will say again "potential" they can have an undefeated season. We'll see.
