Gentleman, we have a real football program. (Clinic recap)

Amazing, isn't it? There has been a 180-degree shift and these folks think it is business as usual.
After Coker, Randy, Golden, and Díaz, there is a completely different feeling with this program, from the Administration, AD all the way to Mario. It’s almost too good to be true.

That being said, I can understand any fan who is tired of the hype and wants to see results. We have all drank the kool aide before and learned it was fools gold. Hopefully, this is entirely different.

Saban is a much better coach but Butch would not have been stopped if he stayed. My only question is lets say he stayed and won the NC in 2001 & 2002. Would he have been the top candidate for the many open NFL jobs & would he have left?

Hopefully, Radakovich is paying a crack staff of hackers to monitor these websites, identify mopers, and then correlate their information back to season-ticket accounts, where he will then start giving these people negative Hurricane Club points that will make them ineligible to purchase tickets in the future.

We are in our "Don't believe your lying eyes" phase of the program. The difference and this is not semantics is it was wash, rinse and repeat up until December 2021. Even when Mark came in he was going to call plays which he hadn't done in a decade and he brought in his son to coach quarterbacks. You have to go back to 2000 to see a staff like this one on Greentree and you have never seen the resource investment like what we are putting in place.

Let me flip the script. What is similar than pre-December 2021?

Not arguing but it’s still all hype until results are established.

So u think, for 3 years he didn’t have good route concepts because of talent and now with better talent he’s gonna whip out a new playbook and get innovative in the pass game? Lol aight
Do you remember Rosier missing wide open throws against Pitt when we were the number 2 ranked team in the country? That's what happens when you have a scheme that your talent can't execute. No hate to Rosier, but obviously in some cases, the play call doesnt matter... so a better decision would have been something he and the team could execute for a 4-5 yard gain, if you can scheme that up and you know it's a relatively sure thing.

And that is where we depart. Facts are not hype. Professional staff in place at every position room. S&C staff has quadrupled with folks with a record of success with SEC in their background. Hired a professional nutritionist from the national champion Georgia Bulldogs and increased her staff. Analysts everywhere to include NFL Hall of Famers. 400 South Florida coaches coming out of a 2-day clinic incredibly impressed. An Elite camp for 5-stars in the books. Blue chippers and high school staffs attending every practice. Former Miami greats in attendance at every practice.

Look at this roster. It has upgraded from last year. A couple of pieces are TBD, but more help is on the way. Other than Rambo who did we lose production-wise? This was a poorly coached squad, worst in the Power 5, that lost 3 games on the last possession.

We are doing everything required for a national title contending program other than handing out McDonald's bags of money. But our big money folks are working NIL so that advantage has been tempered.

Dude, this team is contending for the ACC this year. It is definitely winning the conference within the next 3. And we are playing for a national title in 4.

They took away the run and once Richards got hurt at the end of the first half we were done offensively. We were also depleted at tight end.

They don't have season tickets. Mopes don't go to games. They've been waiting 20 years for the team to be good again so they go to another game and pretend they've been a fan forever.

Cool. Still all hype until the job is done.

There are different TYPES of results. Obviously results on the field are the goal ... and we won't see that impact until the season begins and games are being played. HOWEVER there are other results that we are seeing each day now with the new staff in place that are RESULTS of major changes in the way the UM program is being run and is being perceived by high school coaches, recruits and parents of recruits:

1). The large volume of elite recruits visiting UM practices during Spring ... a level unmatched in a couple of decades.
2). Positive reception and comments by high school coaches regarding the professional manner in which UM is running
the football program ... in every facet ... from coaching clinics, player practices, player development.
3). Aggressive manner in which the transfer portal is being managed by the new staff.
4). The quality and quantity of alum visitors to practices as well as "guest speakers" for coaching clinics.

The initial results are clear ... the program is being RUN in a dramatically more professional and effective manner that WILL pay significant dividends in improved recruiting, improved player development, improved roster and ... where we all want to be ... with winning the Coastal and the ACC.

Absolutely both.

We need better players, but if Mario had prepared the same group of players, we would have looked like we belonged physically.

Bama practices like the junction boys even though they have the best talent money can buy. We barely practiced live tackling, and by accounts from multiple sources, practices were easy.

Football is about emotion and mindset as much as it is physical talent. Even if we had the same talent as Bama man for man, they would have still pushed us around because we were developed to play soft and not ready for a driven, hard-nosed team.

The sad thing is there were many instances where we stood up in that game and you could tell we could play them much closer if we were better prepared. For instance, Bama couldn’t run on us when our front seven was balanced with there alignment. Only when we left a gaping hole running one of Manny’s goofy plays trying to overload one side did they run for significant yards.

It’s crazy. If there wasn’t a big hole in the defense that telegraphed to Bama where to run, our guys stood up and stuffed them.
Bruh.. I been trying to tell these dudes this for months...

They just don't see how bad Manny screwed these boys with his gimmicky BS.

I mean ****, if tough coaching, attention to detail, and discipline can get the Virginia Techs(of old)$ Cincinnatis, and Wisconsins of the world recruits to play respectable defense then some good coaching should help these U boys too.

People are clueless. Manny got his start working for ESPN. If he was worth a **** he would be head coach right this minute. Miami has been an abortion hiring football coaches until now.

Tru, guys like you and I aren't arguing we had the same material as the Bama's, UGA's, Clemson's and Ohio States of the world...

But our foundation with Diaz was soooo flimsy, our guys (regardless of their ceilings physically) were never going to maximize their potential

Lately, Ive been watching a lot of clips of our games on YouTube from the past decade. Yeah, we're not elite, but our teams had a lot of guys who were drafted and had NFL careers. Yet, Miami was consistently a 7 win team. My belief is that with better coaching, they could have at least competed for more Coastal Division titles

to me, that's Mario's job this season -- re-set a solid foundation, and build from there
