Gattis Sucks Bro Super Megathread

It’s as if the program is just cursed. Anything we touch just goes to ****. It’s been since golden and Duke that we actually had a running game

Two credible people telling me he won’t be fired. The plan was for this to be a one and done year but now that may change with this **** show.

As Cribby said, Gattis may leave on his own, which is possible.

Mario understands the issues but recognizes the holes we have on Offense and is willing to give him another chance.
Why do we continue to hire coaches who are too stupid to see the obvious when it comes to coordinators?

So he could miss on more passes?

Or just act as another RB
Jake missed plenty of passes as well. I would have been happy to at least try going read option heavy for a drive or two. Parrish was able to have some success, maybe jacurri could have had more plays like the 3rd down he converted when he made the right choice of pulling the hand off.

I saw a really good football analysis video which talked a about continuity or rather the lack of it in year 1 of a new offense.

Couple that with all the injuries and this what you get.

The funny thing is the offensive line has been bad, yet nobody is calling for Mirabal or Mario to be fired. However, you expect miracles from Gattis from the same limitations being overlooked.

Secondly, fans are already calling for Jake to be replaced after a poor showing against UVA and Duke saying "he isn't it."

Fans were saying the same thing last year with TVD. TVD had nearly identical statistics in his 1st career start against UVA that Jake did against UVA.

Continuity takes time and patience. That's something that an emotional instant gratification fanbase is incapable of having.

I've become accustomed to it but threads like this are just flat out embarrassing.

You either believe in the process or you don't. You don't get to have it both ways calling for one guys head when the parts he has to work with are limited at best, but won't apply the same logic to others which would be wrong, but equal..

I truly believe in coaching continuity. Thus, IF Gattis was to be a one and done hire then keep that promise and find yourself someone that will be a 2-3 year and done hire. That gives us continuity into 2024 when we have a much better chance of making the CFP (12 teams).

There is no excuse for the route trees though. You could have 4 Jerry Rice's running those trees and they'd all be covered. Running plays to the wrong side of the field. Rolling out QB's to their opposite side. These aren't singular events either, these are repeated mistakes. The complete lack of screens and overuse of trips is mind boggling. Putting 88 in motion for a end around....i mean really wtf are we doing with our personnel.
