Crumbl cookies are good but not as good as my homemade cookies, so I said they are overrated.

They are brown butter chocolate chip cookies with fleur de sel flakes sprinkled on top. Sub some of the regular sugar with dark brown sugar to keep them soft and get a hint of that molasses sweetness.

And GTFO with those semisweet chocolate chips. I only use Ghiradelli or Valhrona because they don’t have bull**** stabilizers in them.

If I’m feeling a little frisky, I’ll do half chocolate chips, half heath bar toffee bits. Otherwise, I don’t **** with a classic.

And of course, I have quality thick, gold baking sheets that don’t warp and ensure my cookies cook evenly in my calibrated ovens. I know what I’m doing.

Awww I used to work at that mall as a teenager in the 90s. Ate a lot of Auntie Anne’s pretzels - they had a really good one with marinara sauce at that time.

No. The flakes are more a decoration. Sprinkles. Most people in Louisiana cook them the same way so you have to find something to differentiate your baked cookies.

This was the recipe I used as my base many years ago. I have definitely made it my own and adjusted a few things, but I recommend it to people and everyone loves it.

Favorite Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Browned butter and brown sugar caramelly goodness, crispy edges, barely thick and soft centers, and melty little puddles of chocolate chips.
