Tears Gator Tears

I love it so much. The subheaders on the right are unbelievably good.

On a related note, I’ve been trying to keep my husband abreast of the Lane/UF situation this whole time but he didn’t care to hear it. He, too, lived in Gainesville for two years and agrees that Gators are insufferable and arrogant and yet his interest in college football is only tangential and is limited to (gross) the actual games. I finally forced him to listen to the Cliff’s Notes version in the car on the way to the doctor today, and he still wasn’t amused. The man kept a straight face the entire time and told me he was just happy that I was enjoying the drama.

(This is why I spend too much time with y’all on this board, clearly.)

But of course, now that the NEW YORK POST is involved, and he realizes that the gossip is big enough to warrant Page Six’s opinion on the latest southern white **** measuring contest,

AND that one of those ****s belongs to a man named BILLY GLASSCOCK,

Now he is invested.

Now he is laughing (out loud).

And now he gets it.

So in a way, the Post may have just saved my marriage!

(Kidding.)

The talking heads that cover the Gayturds on YouTube have all shifted gears to what a savage Sumrall is. The little Joe Dirt lookin' dude called him a "psycho". Another pod was talking up comparisons between Sumrall and Kirby Smart and Dan Lanning. It's as pathetic as it is funny.

Any new HC they have to hype up to keep the fans interested and that money flowing. You always hear the same **** when a HC is hired. He's elite blah blah blah, dude going up against Mario and Kirby on the trail, he's cooked lets be honest.

Briefly:

Kiffin - perfect fit for LSU. As good as they could have done. Not saying he wins a championship but they’ll be good

Golesh - weird fit. Not a fan. He may have struck gold with Deuce at QB and the fit in that offense, though.

Silverfield - another OL background HC with mediocre connections and pull. No idea how he competes in the SEC. He was on the hot seat at Memphis at one point. Also, all Memphis coaches keep failing at better jobs that have done better there than Silverfield

Sumrall - 3rd best hire of the cycle so far behind Lane and Morris. But he’s not competing with Kirby, Kiffin, Deboer, Sark, etc. on the trail or on the field. Money talks but mediocre Rolodex for a staff.

Morris - best fit of any in the cycle so far. I hope they give him money to build a roster. He’ll be in the Big 12 title game by 2027

Franklin - VT couldn’t have done better for themselves. But what is his ceiling? Can VT even compete in NIL era

Pritchard - Stanford is a weird job like BYU or something. I know nothing about him.

Chesney - weird fit for UCLA but intriguing. They’ll improve drastically
Some things to add here, and not speculation

Penn State- Sitake - very real heat here as reported, but BYU nation/alums freaked out and came back promising him bumps not just for him and staff because that wasn't the main issue - it was facilities, NIL, and concern about BYU being disrespected in CFP and whether that can change in Big 12. They then have promised him that they will go beyond what Texas Tech has committed funding-wise. Penn State will still be more, but they gave him something to sleep on- supposedly, they expect to hear today if it worked. They feel good at BYU but are not certain. If they keep him, then more rumor side for Penn State is Brohm, but I have my doubts. Some feel Sexton has ****ed them over in general, even with agent friends. If BYU loses Sitake, they will replace him in 5 minutes with on staff promotion

UCLA- they are also stepping up on support money for NIL, facilities as well. He may not even report to under fire AD who fans hate and want fired. I think he will do great there despite Eastern roots. He's legit. People forget how many players Cignetti took when he left JMU. Guy is a winner.

Cal - it is definitely Tosh Lupoi from all I've been told by Cal people who usually know.

Cal needs to hire Tosh. I like Rolovich but Tosh is going to get more talent there than Rolo ever will. If he is their OC, they could be very dangerous.

Sitake is a great HC. The fit at Penn State would be like Brian Kelly going to LSU. Sitake seems like BYU to the core to me. It just doesn't make sense to me. Same could be said for Brohm but I'm not sure Louisville will pay him anything that would compete with that deal. The money difference may be enough to lure him away.

i hear you on sitake but that guy has personality to get guys who aren't Mormon to say (in theory) no to *** in college- means he can talk.

Penn state to me feels like BYU without the LDS angle in some ways. just bigger... If he keeps some east coast recruiting guys on staff, i think he can fit way better than BK at LSU- and definitely won't change his accent or do a cringe dance video with a recruit
