Every single time I bring this up, I am met with, "You just don't watch tape, you're going off of stats". The defense kept every single one of those games (Minus Texas) in a winnable spot.

I compare this to the Raiders taking Jamarcus Russel so high when everyone that watched him any amount of time knew he wasn’t going to make it in the NFL…AR better learn how to play TE or RB cause when Daniel Jones beats you out I’m gonna go out on a limb and say your QB career isn’t looking very bright.

They shouldn’t have made him a day 1 starter. That was suicide by stupidity. EVERYONE knew he needed a season on the bench no matter what but even with that being said…..

being on the bench doesn’t fix accuracy issues; you either have it or you don’t. He doesn’t have it, and he never will imo.

LSU shouldn’t have been ranked going into that game. They were on a two game losing streak at the point. But SeC so they got the benefit of the doubt. The ole miss win was a good one for Florida, a lot like our game against GT. Ole Miss just couldn’t do anything right on O.

Throw out the FSU game. They averaged less than 2 TDs a game the entire season.

Same as the Raiders learned quickly about Russell. Guy would have been a better TE than he ever would have a QB.

Herbie had Lagway as one of his top 3 QB’s in the country on his Herbie awards thus morning.Man I know the kid is pretty good but these guys are making a kid with a 50% completion percentage and about as many INT’s as TDs who has been unable to practice since last year because he’s always hurt for whatever reason the second coming of Patrick Mahomes….

If I was a crow and I started heading south for the winter I’d make sure I went waaaaaaay south cause unless this kid shows a whooooole lot more than he’s shown so far there’s gonna be a ton of talking heads eating large plates of them come December.

They all go nuts over this kid with those stats but then question Carson Beck who was part of an SEC championship season.

FACTS. Lagaway had 9 TDs and 9 INTs against FBS opponents.

The media is pumping this kid. He's had injuries and a 1-1 TD/INT ratio against FBS opponents. The media loves to create Heisman hype for him. It's not warranted. He may take the next step or he may not. They should pump the brakes until he actually proves he's player they make him out to be. Another 1-1 TD/INT season and the media will be calling him a 5-star bust.

I always go back to this. This is Lagway’s 6 starts against FBS opponents vs 2021 TVD’s first 6 starts. TVD beats Lagway in every category (threw 1 more pic; had double the attempts Lagway did). Even adding both FCS teams that both played, TVD still wins.

All of this behind a worse OL than Florida had last year. And TVD didn’t get 10% of the hype Lagway is

I just don’t understand how a guy who was told he needed to lose weight before camp started didn’t drop any weight, and then spent the whole time being filmed doing nothing. Like it’s a couple hundred grand on the line to make the P Squad. the minimum he should be doing is running or on the bike for those practices to shed some lbs.
