Tears Gator Tears

I think things will continue to get spookier for the Gators the closer we get to week 1. The whole Lagway injury situation still doesn’t make sense to me. Star QB is so injured that he can only hand the football off 5 months since the last game of the season. But injury does not require surgery??? Who has ever heard of an injury like this before. Legitimately interested if anyone has any other examples. Only one I can think of is Markelle Fultz and not the same sport.

No inside info from me whatsoever but I assume the NIL investment put into the kid is taking priority over his actual long term health. He probably should’ve had surgery in January, they dropped the ball and cannot risk surgery now as he holds the keys to their season and employment.

I think he takes a step back this year just due to the fact that I believe there is no possible way he can be 100% healthy. If I could place a future bet I would put it on him to be in the portal following this season. Anthony Richardson’s previous comments about Napier and the program is really all that needs to be replayed. He is the only player of any needle moving relevance on that roster and everyone in that building knows it. An 18 year old that threw 12 TDs and 9 INTs that has 4 career games passing over 200 yards is all of sudden is good enough to dominate college football with no live reps for what will be 8 months. I’m very biased due to my hate for the Gators but I think they could be in for an FSU type meltdown this season.

Re: the Lagway surgery thing, I agree it is confusing. Allegedly, the decision to hold off was made by his family, not UF, and they wanted to see if rest would do the trick, but who knows.

By the way, Billy said the SEC Spring Meetings that those 3x a week throws are amounting to ~210 throws per week (excluding warm-ups), which is what he normally throws this time of year. He indicated that this was to mean that everything was on track, but considering Lagway just started throwing again, that sounds odd. Billy also won’t answer whether or not Lagway is 100% yet, he just makes vague “coach” statements like “he’s right on schedule,” so we can obviously surmise what that means.

Per Slingblade Billy, Lagway is "right on schedule" to make the journey from Gainesville to Ocala by the year 2030.

Now this is how you post on gator tears.

Well done!

If it's getting bad enough to need surgery, I'd be real concerned about him finishing the season if I were Napier.

It's the little details.

Imagine you are 400+ pounds and you INSIST that you only way 399.

And he pulled off her weave. That's just wrong.

Violence is either the very best or very worst stripper name ever.

I once had a client named Sparkles. She had business cards that said she was an “event planner” but that corporate parties were her specialty.

Another client went by Bobbi Jo (see the initials).

This is what happens when you intern at a public defender’s office.

I once had the pleasure of dealing with an older lady named Velvet, she was actually a very competent office manager for a client. I don't think her parents thought that through.

One of my middle/high school classmates was a girl named Velvet. She used to be a cheerleader for my middle school Pop Warner football teams. She may have cheered as a HS freshman, but I kinda lost track of her later in high school.

Meanwhile, during the summers when I was in HS, I occasionally worked for some family friends on weekdays, they had a concession supply business. They would sell unpopped popcorn, cotton candy sugar, snow cone syrup, candy bars, etc. to Orlando-area movie theaters, non-Disney theme parks, and other types of businesses.

But two days a week, I would deliver these big PRE-popped popcorn bags to, shall we say, multiple adult entertainment establishments along the South Orange Blossom Trail corridor. One day I was waiting for the owner to bring me a check for the delivery, and I looked up at the stage and recognized Velvet.

Her parents might have doomed her to that career path, what with that name.

I’m also confused as to what numbers he’s referring to. We gave up 23 sacks last year, and UF gave up 20.
People these days just make up stats to suit their agenda. As if information isn’t available 24/7 with just a click of a button to fact check them.

I saw a post the other day on a different format stating that Jalen Hurts was 10-0 as a starter against a group of some very good qbs. One of those qbs being Mahomes and another Jayden Daniels. Obviously, he’s lost to both Mahomes and Daniels as a starter. I’m not trying to slander Hurts or disrespect him. I think he’s an elite qb, but that poster talking him up was clearly incorrect with his information.

So when I saw that post about UF’s sacks allowed compared to Miami’s sacks allowed in order to support UF’s agenda as having a better o-line, I knew something was off. That clearly sounded incorrect.

Yep. Worked as a PD for 3 year sin Atlanta right after law school.

In private practice I had the ones who could pay, but still brought the money in $1 bills. I used to make them go to the bank and turn the $1’s into $20’s. $1’s take too long to count. And earn.

I think that Lagway’s arm could have been amputated at the shoulder and Napier would have said he was on the practice field throwing 40 yd darts….i think they’re scared of losing what few recruits they have especially on the offensive side of the ball that are coming here to play on an offense with him….
If He can’t play they really have little to offer other than unlimited cinnamon buns for every player.
