Tears Gator Tears

I’m not so certain he will. Even blue chip recruits want to win. When the momentum turns the way it has for them, that’s when we start hearing “Florida was always my dream school, but I’m going to play football at the university of Miami. Respect my decision.” I wouldn’t count on many of these commits to stick, because just like with al golden, they’ll be able to see what’s happening on the field.
Results on the field won’t help him. He’s not bringing in the talent he needs and he’s not a Mullen level OC. He really needed to knock it out of the park with recruiting which is why I yapped on here about how critical it was that the gator not get Rashada. I knew they had nothing else and it would kill them plus Rashada would’ve fixed their offensive recruiting problem. Literally the dude looks like a dead man walking and he hasn’t coached a game.

Well he's done a fairly good job with the tear down part so far.
He lost those players Mullen had locked down because he wanted a letter explaining why they wanted to be gator plus a workout video - Evers and Gibson - right before ESD. Those guys would have been the 1st line of backups this year and he didn’t get anyone better.

Such a rookie mistake trying to act like the smartest guy in the room and it’s going to destroy him

Could someone explain to me how "He's only going to Miami because they pay more money" is supposed to be an insult? I assume the UF idiots are trying to claim that if all things were equal he'd chose UF. Things aren't equal. We have money. They don't.

Same things the Tennessee fans are saying about Mauigoa.

But WHY would Mauigoa favor Tennessee over Miami other than financial reasons?

The huge Samoan population in Knoxville (and miss me with that Nico nonsense)? The proximity to the ocean? The climate? The long history of Tennessee COACHES (not the school itself) developing OLs for the NFL draft?

Oh, but a kid from Hawaii is sooooo enamored of "game day atmosphere", right? I mean, he supposedly likes Tennessee more than Miami, and the "most cited reason" for UT being better than UM is "game day atmosphere", right?

Ridiculous.

Totally overestimated the value of the gator brand along with his own resume.
It’s also great when they toss the line out of “Mario was at Oregon, so he should be landing more top level recruits at this point than Billy.” Did someone force them to hire a guy from a G5 conference without those contacts or reputation?

They keep saying, oh Miami will be a 9 and 3 team which is an improvement and will stumble into the playoffs.

They fail to realize they are the ones who have recently lost to a FCS school and also have a couple 4 win seasons.

They are the definition of projection.

I don't understand this "Miami will be a 9-3 team nonsense.

In the three non-COVID seasons at Oregon, Mario want 9-4, 12-2, and 10-3. So explain to me how "9-3" is the best we should hope for?

Again, this is the typical Gaytor nonsense. They will try to hang the MIRACLE that Mario performed at FIU around his neck due to W-L record. They will DIMINISH what Mario did in ONLY 4 years as head coach at Oregon.

But then they will GLORIFY Billy Gaypier as a recruiter, developer, and head coach, even though he's never held a job for more than 4 consecutive years, thus making it hard to decipher exactly what Billy did HIMSELF.

Did Billy improve Louisiana's record? YES.

Did Billy recruit a bunch of blue chippers? NO.

Did Billy develop some players at Alabama and Louisiana? I guess. Some guys he coached for 1 year, but there's almost nobody that he coached for 4 years.
