There’s truth to the City of Miami - on a broader scale - historically only supporting a winner - at least it was like that when I was younger. As a kid, I saw it at Canes and Dolphins games and my father would always say it to me and point out how many years of bad teams the Bills and Packers had yet their stadiums were packed in freezing weather. That said, the Canes have a diehard core group - like people on this. website - who go to games regardless and support the team.

The issue with SEC admittance will be that I don’t think the SEC teams, especially the gaytor - but others as well - want UM to recruit with an SEC label and we aren’t a cultural fit on top of it. I think the gaytor would oppose us and FSU like aTM will oppose Texas and I imagine that USCe will oppose Clemson.
That's always going to be the case for big cities like Miami or LA. So much else to do in the city that people just ignore the teams when they are bad because they have other stuff going on. You go to Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin games and there's literally nothing else to do besides go to their schools games even if the teams suck. That 2017 season was a great example. Canes were killing it, on national tv, being talked about every week, highly ranked, etc... That ND game the stadium was PACKED. Win and they will come.
