The band also played the Confederate Anthem until 2016 both before and during games. The students changed the lyrics at the end to “the south will rise again.” It was a huge argument to get it removed, similar to the mascot.

Story so far is he was about to go out with his lady. He went back inside to grab a jacket and a couple of dudes jumped out the bushes to rob him and shot him in the leg and chest.
