Shantard couldn’t recruit in an area where he grew up,played PW,HS and CFB,and knew all of the coaches personally...let dat marinate
 
So is Frost to Nebraska a done deal? I can see UF getting desperate and giving out a Harbaugh like deal to him. Hope Nebraska is getting ready to break the bank.

Frost has had one good season in his head coaching career in a week conference. Not sure I understand the hype around him.

Because he took a team and made them bowl eligible that didn't win a game the previous year. This year they're undefeated.

every college football team falls for this just like we did with AG, its stupid to hire these types and its mad risky.

These types come from somewhere. Some pan out, others don't. Not many other guys on the list for UF that don't fit this description. If you're a UF fan, do you really want a known product like Charlie Strong coming in?

Under Armor has put about $150 million into UCLA. Wouldn’t be too far fetched to believe that they would kick in a bit more to help secure Kelly and their investment.

Perhaps but if Florida is willing to pay frost up to 8 mil a year how much were they offering chip? It would appear he took less money from UCLA to avoid Florida.

Frost is a good and is going to continue to get better. He's learned under some real good coaches.

If he takes a job Nebraska would be it. He's well liked l, an alum, runs an offense they like up there.

He will have a much longer leash and more leeway than Florida. He also sees right now how difficult it is in the SEC.

Butch Jones 5 years fired
Mac 2.5 years....2 SEC east championships fired
Gene chizik fired 2 years after winning auburn first national title since the 50s

This is a really good point. You might want to add Malzhan to that list who's on the hot seat every year, despite the overwhelming success he has had at Auburn - where he has to go toe-to-toe with Saban every single year. And for seemingly every recruit as well.

Oh, this might be Brandon Powell's last game. I hate FSU, but I'm glad he'll go winless against them and this will be his lasting memory at UF.

That's the pressure these ADs are under. All trying to lock up the next hot HC before they're gobbled up by their rivals despite them having a very short CV.
