Tears Gator Tears

Wait Florida gators have the same lawyers as Wisconsin who thinks that an MOU is legally binding without any consideration being exchanged

I agree. At his point I just want to see what they'd do if they can't even get Jedd.

The whole carousal has been a real eye opener. With ESD, the timing of the playoff and the transfer portal, needing a coach right now would be a disaster. I'd much rather put up with Mario's bs than go through this ****.
They are going to "steal" Norvell from FSU, then claim they got the coach that Bama wanted last year

So, the Admin and AD went after the coach that the whole fanbase was begging for, he didnt want to go there and now they want to fire the AD?
Now they will blame the big money boosters for not offering enough money (of course none of them will put up any of their own cash to help) and they will attack them also.
It's an amazing fanbase that thinks they are a top 10 job, which they aren't. Remove the SEC patch and they are a joke.
No, they want to fire the athletic Director because everybody knows that if they had fired Bill Napier last year the Kiffin was ready to come to Florida and they chose not to

So it’s not just that they missed out now it’s quite certain if they make the decision last off-season a year ago none of this comes to pass and they already have the coach they wanted

I don’t think they’re getting Sumrall
He’s waiting on Ole Miss or Auburn
Sumrall is on lsu top list if Kiffin last minute stays at ole miss

Apparently he either interviewed and then removed himself or just said he wasn’t interested. I don’t have 247 access anymore. @TheOriginalCane might know what those guys said. I hadn’t seen Pragmatic in a while when I was last on there.
They thought they were getting lane so they wanted to give Sumrall the option of “pulling himself out of the running” for the interview that was no longer going to get- which is the way you let somebody with a big agent exit gracefully

Now they might really need to interview him but they might be 4th on his list

Yes true but many of insiders there say that’s where they pivot and I think the fact they can spin taking him away from the gators and auburn helps especially if Tulane makes cfp

Wow talk about arrogant amateurs over there. Between Strickland and their boosters, they are inept.

He was not the only person involved in that decision and some of it hinged on panic over losing Lagway who they perceived to be the reason they finished the season strong when most of us here could look at his stats and know it was the defense most responsible for that.
The AD at these universities has some say, but most of the time they are more responsible for fundraising and other operations, and the big money donors and BOT have a lot of say in hiring of the big money coaching positions (fball and bball).
You may very well be right that Lane was interested in the job last year, but it's all speculation and never a certainty when involving Lane. Plus, the UF insiders have been proven over and over to be totally untrustworthy when it comes to stuff like this.
I'm just hoping tomorrow that he stays at Ole Miss and screws over LSU and UF. That would be great to watch.

Notice that not at any point since Napier was fired that I puffed my chest out about whoever we WILL get as the next head coach. I’m just letting it play out
When dealing with the mentally challenged in Special Olympics and other areas, some of them know that they are slow and try not to overplay their hand while there are the majority that don't realize that they are way behind in brain function. They are very happy in themselves but get very confused when they are constantly being corrected and assisted when they truly believe that they can function in society at a high level. Not having grilled cheese sandwiches on the menu at every restaurant they go to is truly baffling to them.

I’m certain he was theirs if they fired Napier last November.

Wait til the gators hear that Washington is almost done with a $10m a year extension for Jedd and a ton more for his coaches pool.

No one likes being 4th choice at their Alma mater

Maybe he goes if they come still but it’s about to cost a lot more to even talk
