LSU is an interesting spot because he will defacto recruit at a top 10 clip before getting guaranteed NIL money to shoot for top 5s. I mean look at LSUs class they are **** near in tact and the reports were that Brian Kelly didn’t even know half the recruits or tried lol

He really is the inverse of Mario, bc Mario wins the big games but loses the small ones, and Lane can't seem to get over the hump in big games against big opponents.

There's a few weeks left in the regular season. Maybe he has made a decision. Or maybe he's at least narrowed down the decision. But maybe he just wants to focus on his job, finish out the regular season against his biggest rival, see if he makes the SEC Championship, and get into the CFP, and then make a decision.

I think the only thing we know for sure is that Lane enjoys the element of surprise, which isn't really surprising from someone known for their offensive mind.

I think it's the opposite. I think lane has known for a while where he's going and just likes to troll. There's obviously the sexton bit too. If lane 100% has his mind made up, it's not just being left and reported at that. Dudes getting paid.

He loses to Auburn and his seat gets even hotter in Tuscaloosa. Bama losing to FSU and a crappy Auburn and missing playoffs 2 years in a row could be enough with that fan base
 
Per the latest update from the Ole Miss people, looks like a race between them and LSU. On their part, LSU is supremely confident Kiffin is heading to them. Ole Miss thinks they have a good chance. Florida seems to have faded.

A few days ago, Graham Hall from the gator 247 was oozing confidence that Kiffin would be there next coach. Pretty quiet since then. Probably has sources who are donors, and we all know how overconfident Florida donors are.

Many of the Kiffin threads on SwampAss 247 are now either (a) sarcastic, (b) begging for details, or (c) intentionally putting forth false confidence as if they can will the hiring into existence.

Gator fans are like that guy in the Modelo commercial who thinks he influenced the field goal attempt with all of his arm-waving...

At least on SwampAss 247, the sad thing is that they are so invested in Lane Train that it's nearly impossible to find an honest assessment and discussion of anyone else. It's always like "Candidate X is such a drop-off..."

Their latest update is that UF people met with Kiffin’s people yesterday. Nothing beyond that. They don’t leak interviewing then cancelling on Sumrall, if it isn’t to put pressure on Kiffin.
 
They said they supposedly leaked to pressure Kiffin but funny thing is in my opinion they don’t hold the cards Lane does… you’re not forcing his hand. I personally think they would wait as long as it takes
