Tears Gator Tears

Haven't been to Bones yet. Not sure why someone would slam Canoe, I love that place, was just threre a couple of weeks ago after we filed our Q3 financials with the SEC. Then they mention Bacchnalia? Am I missing something here?

****, there are several high-end speakeasies in Buckhead, I'm sure someone involved is a member or they can arrange one-time access.

I love it when people in Hogtown think they know where to go in ATL.
🤣 I’m not slamming Canoe! I like Canoe a lot too. I’m just saying that if I was taking a PJ all the way from Florida to Atlanta, Canoe wouldn’t be at the top of my list. I’d rather do a Tasting Menu or Omakase somewhere, or like you said, arrange something special via connections.

That one person probably just mentioned Bacchanalia because it’s been at the top of Atlanta lists forever. Yes, shows they know nothing.

We took my kid to Bones for his birthday in May (he’s an old soul, and he loves going out to nice places even though he’s young). It’s good, but I hate when steakhouses overuse the butter. A good piece of meat doesn’t need it. I like KR better.

The aura surrounding Lane Kiffin has to be a case study one day. This guy has never actually won anything as a HC yet always seems to land elite coaching gigs and has fans of college programs begging for him every offseason including ours at one point. I mean seriously asking..has Lane even won a conference championship before? Even at FAU??
He has an exciting offense and can “level up” a program a few wins… he’s Mario yet with elite coaching and not the elite recruiting

LSU is an interesting spot because he will defacto recruit at a top 10 clip before getting guaranteed NIL money to shoot for top 5s. I mean look at LSUs class they are **** near in tact and the reports were that Brian Kelly didn’t even know half the recruits or tried lol

I've been to Kevin Rathbun once and it wasn't all that great. I'll probably take my wife to Houston's off of 75 and Paces Ferry this weekend for a (very late) birthday dinner (I WAS IN A COMA!), she loves Houston's. I need to hit Marcel, we've been to Little Sparrow multiple times. Been to Chops, Capital Grille, Hal's, Ray's (both on the river and downtown), and a few other spots. TERRIBLE experience at Cooks & Soldiers. We are going to 5Church for a Thanksgiving brunch.

To be honest, I'm more into the vibe right now. I absolutely LOVE Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, might try to do a two-fer this weekend (with Houston's) while the weather is nice. I love the original Woody's Cheesesteaks over by Piedmont Park (the booths are SCHOOL BUS seats!). I love this spot called Wood's Chapel BBQ between the old Braves stadium and the zoo, you can play cornhole in this little outside area.

Still, if you have any other steakhouse references, I'll take them. Trying to look cool when friends/family visit, or the office needs a new idea.

I'm just curious what those guys who were all over twitter saying that gator fans should be checking their phones constantly for good news on Sunday are saying now lol. Saw a bunch of gator accounts on twitter basically implying Lane had already given them the yes and was signing the deal over the weekend lol.

The "main guy" who started that crap (and was retweeted by ever desperate Gator eager to look like an insider) was Dan Thompson. He issued a pretty bland "things happen and timelines change" response around Sunday.

Of course, he promised "other dominoes would start falling" this week, and nothing has happened yet.

Gary Condron has also promised that it's happening too. For those, that don't know of Gary, he's a huge UF booster. Their indoor facility and the baseball stadium are both named after him. But he's promising it based on the fact that Lane has communicated through his camp what he is looking for, UF communicated back that they will do it, and that means it must be a done deal because it's just that simple! UF is perfect and everyone loves them, it's the best school in the world and anyone who turns them down is dumb!

/s if it wasn't obvious.

TrumpyCane thinks Lane should just stay at Ole Miss

Less toxic than LSU, less pressure, wife enjoys it there, can win 10/11 and still have everyone off his back, has his NIL there
I think he should too. But I think he knows there’s a ceiling there. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if he trolled those schools to make them chase him and then higher a lesser coach to make his job at Ole Miss easier.

Seems like he’s gone though imo
I think there's a good chance Lane himself doesn't even know yet.

There's a few weeks left in the regular season. Maybe he has made a decision. Or maybe he's at least narrowed down the decision. But maybe he just wants to focus on his job, finish out the regular season against his biggest rival, see if he makes the SEC Championship, and get into the CFP, and then make a decision.

I think the only thing we know for sure is that Lane enjoys the element of surprise, which isn't really surprising from someone known for their offensive mind.
