Look, I am not making this up, this is literally what happened (and it has happened FOR YEARS with the F$U writers).

Rivals star-rankings CLAIM to be based not solely on some writer's judgement of a player's abilities, but also on how "in-demand" a player is for recruiting. Thus, a 5-star is a guy who would get an offer from nearly every program in the country.

So, this Janvier kid from Miami Christian commits to UF. IMMEDIATELY, the Gaytor writers contact Rivals to point out that the offer list of SEC schools alone should vault the kid to a 4-star ranking. Rivals says, yes, you MUST be correct, we are going to ignore the previous 500-spot drop and go SOLELY off the offer list. It is June. The kid has not been observed doing anything. There have been no games to observe him blocking the crap out of anyone. Nope, just "offer list".

And now you guys realize how circular and manipulable the "offer list" is when it comes to rankings. And how certain star-***** schools like UF and F$U push to have certain of their guys "re-ranked", particularly when they take an "underrated" 3-star.

It's a joke. I don't mind the overall rankings system, or re-ranking guys at certain times of the year BASED ON PERFORMANCE, but this one-by-one "requested re-ranking" crap has to stop.

Rivals saying "oh, we "overlooked" the kid...that's a load of crap.

Miami kid who never sniffed an offer from Miami even though he plays at a position of need. That should tell you all you need to know about this kid. I guess Butch Davis might get mad that FIU missed out on him.

He was committed to Louisville at the beginning of the year and then received offer from UF, Pitt, LSU and Baylor and decommited. Since he decommited, his prospects have been dropping like a lead ballon. It seems this is a marriage of desperation and convenience. He was desperate to be committed to a P5 school and the Turds are desperate for an OL Commit.

Facts they getting Leonard and when they do the tears are going to be epic. Braun’s parents are wisely not going to let him go to turdsville after the way the corches handled the Steele debacle and while I do concede the Turds have a better shot at flipping SEC groupie Walker than we do, there’s another 5 SEC teams that he will flip to before he goes to the Turds.

Pretty convenient they get a fabricated 4 star to commit from Miami just before we land Rivers. Things that make you say hmmmm.

This is the classic recruit we'd scramble for late and say but but but potential!

Some of them aren’t even addressing the merits of the player, just complaining that 247 gave a Tennessee commit a huge bump so why not the gaytors???

Right now their porsters list him as an afterthought but they likely will get him after Henderson picks Clemson and Manuel fails to qualify (doesn’t mean he won’t be in class for the rankings boost). He and Janvier are connected, especially in their recent rankings drop with Britt dropping 200 spots since beginning of the year. I think Britt is a good player but they will demand immediate re-ranking and claim he’s the second coming of Randy Moss when he commits.

excellent work RVA. You really help to make the offseason a bit less painless. Heres to an awful season for our rivals, and a good first year for Manny to keep the tears flowing WELL in to next off season. ****, at this point Im rooting for Georgia to continue to do well, and for Tennessee to start hitting stride JUST for the tears.

A loss to us will send them into a full tailspin I believe.

I mean if we are using gator logic then every SEC team is better than us right? Just by the sheer fact they play in the "SEC" so if they can't beat us how they can they expect to beat the other teams on their schedule?

The tears will be so bad that the governor will have to declare a state of emergency in Gainesville for flooding
