OG from the new recruiting powerhouse Miami Christian. Kid isn’t bad but he’s been overpowering competition by outweighing them by at least a sophomore (150 pounds). I think he needs to lose close to 70 pounds of really bad weight and totally reshape his body to play at P5 level.

He was committed to Louisville at the beginning of the year and then received offer from UF, Pitt, LSU and Baylor and decommited. Since he decommited, his prospects have been dropping like a lead ballon. It seems this is a marriage of desperation and convenience. He was desperate to be committed to a P5 school and the Turds are desperate for an OL Commit.

I’m not intending to down the kid for being ranked at 743. That’s far better than I could ever do. It’s not about the kid. My point is just that when CB’s started coming in for Miami for Rivers, the gaytes said they didn’t want him but he’s a far higher rated OL prospect than this kid who they just took.

I’ve never seen such circular craziness. It’s like a constantly looping looney film clip and no one can make it stop.

Agreed. Although he’s doesn’t even qualify as a turncoat. He visited us at least 3 times with the hopes of getting an offer and we didn’t even invite him to camp for further evaluation. His sorry *** falls in the scorned biaotch category...

Seems like Janvier miraculously gained a 4th Star, unbeknownst to any of the rating services after committing to the Turds yet Miami Commit Donnell Harris dropped down to a 4 star according to them

But but but, that #743 ranking is "not accurate". Because. Because it isn't as high at Gaytor fans want it to be. So..."accurate it". Make it right. Raise it by 500 spots or the Gaytor fans will pout and tell the world how "underrated" all their recruits are. Because. Just because.

This is what is crazy. First, the HOMETOWN team, the one who can go observe his games anytime, DID NOT EVEN OFFER. Then, a few teams from far away fell in love with his measurables and create a circular feeding frenzy of "offers", thereby inflating his rankings.

Now he commits to one of those offers, and I can't wait to see the postings once the Gaytor fans realize the reality of the situation. Whoops, that won't happen, Gaytor fans never realize reality. So this will become one of those "blame the coach" situations that they do, where 5 minutes after they post that they are going 11-1 and winning the SEC East, they also post about their horrible facilities and talk about which coaches should be fired. You know, to "humble" Mullet.
 
Look, I am not making this up, this is literally what happened (and it has happened FOR YEARS with the F$U writers).

Rivals star-rankings CLAIM to be based not solely on some writer's judgement of a player's abilities, but also on how "in-demand" a player is for recruiting. Thus, a 5-star is a guy who would get an offer from nearly every program in the country.

So, this Janvier kid from Miami Christian commits to UF. IMMEDIATELY, the Gaytor writers contact Rivals to point out that the offer list of SEC schools alone should vault the kid to a 4-star ranking. Rivals says, yes, you MUST be correct, we are going to ignore the previous 500-spot drop and go SOLELY off the offer list. It is June. The kid has not been observed doing anything. There have been no games to observe him blocking the crap out of anyone. Nope, just "offer list".

And now you guys realize how circular and manipulable the "offer list" is when it comes to rankings. And how certain star-***** schools like UF and F$U push to have certain of their guys "re-ranked", particularly when they take an "underrated" 3-star.

It's a joke. I don't mind the overall rankings system, or re-ranking guys at certain times of the year BASED ON PERFORMANCE, but this one-by-one "requested re-ranking" crap has to stop.

Rivals saying "oh, we "overlooked" the kid...that's a load of crap.
 
Miami kid who never sniffed an offer from Miami even though he plays at a position of need. That should tell you all you need to know about this kid. I guess Butch Davis might get mad that FIU missed out on him.
