Game2 overreactions porst

Biggest disappointments today (in order of magnitude):

1. TVD (expectations are high)
2. OL (as good as they looked last week they were equally bad today with mentals and lack of push at times)
3. Corners (pick one, they all sucked today)
4. Mallory (zero catches..he actually had more penalties than highlights)
5. WRs (inconsistent ability to get open…sans Restrepo…kid is all effort, all the time.)

With that said, run defense was outstanding and LBs seem improved.

Y’all told me McNamara was the reason Gattis offense wasn’t explosive. So is it TVD fault today?
Yes. He and the offensive line.

The offensive line was pathetic in pass blocking.

TVD was slow with his reads and some of his passes were not accurate. I'm only talking about the plays where he had time to throw. He's holding the ball too long staring down WRs which is why he got picked. He could have had 2-3 ints today instead of just 1.

Lastly, I believe Gattis has been generic with a purpose. He's saving his offensive for AtM. I expect a lot more throws from TVD and more creative TE play in the passing game.

I was at the game. There were wide receivers running uncovered on almost every play. Tyler takes forever to go through his progressions. If the first two options aren’t open, it’s a sack or a forced throw into coverage. Redding and Ladson were left open all day

If we look this we 7-8 weeks from now vs Gtech or some other bottom rung Acc team I’ll start to worry. But game 2 with a whole new staff and system. Transfers, poor depth and position issues we’ve been warned about then I’m going to expect some highs and lows.

Next week I’d love a win…I’ll find reasons all week why we will win. The one thing we don’t need is to have our doors blown off. If we lose show we belong.
