Frost Says No To UF, Mullen Going To Gata

Kiffin, butch, Pruitt, vennables, a lot of options out there. Leave Diaz out the conversation. He will take over for Richt in about 5-7 yrs

Watch Mullen suddenly become a great recruiter with that Gata money.

Good choice for UF who can recruit dual threat Florida QBs for days. Unfortunately that offense will be feasted on by Smarts D for years.

Congrats to UF on hiring a coach Miami turned down twice...lol.

Good coach, but UF thinks they're one of the best programs in the country and Mullen is not that level of coach.

Also makes recruiting easy for us, I was only worried about Kelly/Frost/Taggart

Yeahhhh, I'm not too worried about Donnie Mullins walking through a recruits door after Rick, Cuckbo, whoever is at UCF and even Chuckie Weak at USF.

Watch UiF take some new philosophy of going hard after "The State of Gainesville" and focus their recruiting on the I-4 corridor and north.

so this is their plan C guy??

Who is probably the best choice of them all.

Bad news for us. Gotta hope Miss. State doesn't go after Diaz, now.

Diaz is not ready for a HC gig...love the guy, but just not ready...plus Miami is his home and dream job at UM. Him taking over for Richt in the mid term is the most likely.

Hes just as ready as Mullen when he was hired.

Mullen and Billy Gonzales (who **** be bringing w him) were elite recruiters at UF. Theyll do just fine on the trail.

Taggart was the best choice.

UF is done in SFL.

I'm agnostic on Taggart but it'd have been a high risk move on his part. If you bail on a "major" school like Oregon so quick for a "dream" job and then fail you might find yourself waking up as a head coach in Boca one day.

This hire is IMO right where the Gata should be. Solid coach, will compete for the SEC east. Thats what that program is.

Its going to be hard to sell kids on playig for him over the significantly more successful Richt.

Are they recruiting for Urban Meyer this time?

And yet their mighty recruiting skills didnt work at MSU.

They recruited well at UF bc:

A) Urbie was the HC
B) Miami was bad
C) FSU was even worse

Hes a real good choice they may gotten the best one by luck

Agree. I think he can do some great things there - he wanted the Miami job bad so I’m guessing he knows exactly how to use sofla/fla talent on offense. They’re going to be pretty **** good on offense in short order.

Not a **** hire but very solid.

Boy, someone here told me Mullen was a terrible choice for Miami. I said if Richt were unavailable, I would have hired him. I was told he had a bad record against ranked opponents. As if that matters when your ****nal is limited to MSU talent.

He was at MSU for 9 years and had one 10 win season and never won his own division. That would be a poor hire for Miami.

LOL! His division?! You are saying since MSU did NOT beat out AU, Bama and LSU for the SEC West he's BAD?!

Its UF man. I know we hate to admit it, but their brand is strong. Like UM theyre always one good coach away from a quick rebound. Mullen is straight. Theyll get their guys.

I’m waiting to see if he was forced to retain the ******.If he was he’s fcked from the start cause it shows he’s not in complete control,Strickland is.

And he’s getting into a 4-5 year rebuild with no QB( doubt Corral ends up there) and a roster that is sorely lacking in talent not to mention that this years recruiting class is sHT and getting worse by the day .Problem is these delusional idiots just fired a guy that won the east 2 out the 3 years he was there and got canned or at least pulled an Urban and figured out a way to get the **** out of there so good luck trying to ask them for patience.

I’ll say it now.Mullen won’t last 4-5 years there and unless he signs a 3 year contract( highly doubtful) will never see the end of his contract coaching there.
