Jordan Scarlett is still committed to Miami and has already spoken to the Hurricanes staff after finishing his visit to UF. He still will visit FSU next weekend.

anyone got a summary of Scarlett's 247 post-UF visit article?

Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas running back Jordan Scarlett, a current Miami commit, took an official visit to Florida this past weekend. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound prospect enjoyed his time in Gainesville.

“I had a great time,” Scarlett said. “I got to spend some time with a couple of the players I knew a little bit already.”

One of the current players he already knew was his host Brandon Powell.

“He was telling me it was a place young guys come and play and can make an impact on the team,” Scarlett said of Powell’s message. “I can see that because obviously he had playing time as a freshman and Quincy [Wilson].”

New head coach Jim McElwain’s message was to the point.

“He is new to this thing just how I would be. He said I would be a big impact.”

What would Scarlett rate his visit to Florida?

“It helped a lot. I had a great time. I really don’t really have a number.”

Scarlett added that his status with Miami is the “same as it was before visiting Florida.” In fact, he spoke to Miami coaches shortly after completing his visit with the Gators.

“We just talked, basic conversation to see how it’s going. They said it’s an awesome experience and just told me to enjoy myself.”

Next up for Scarlett is a trip to Florida State.

“It’s the same thing I was looking at here. The lifestyle, the atmosphere and everything.”

The Seminoles lost a commitment from running back Johnny Frasier over the weekend. Does that affect Scarlett at all?

“Well yeah, because it opens a spot. It’s just opens a spot and gives me an opportunity to be in their class, so I’m taking the visit to see if I like it.”

The 247Sports Composite ranks Scarlett as the nation’s No. 118 overall prospect.

Just spoke to Jordan Scarlett who says he had a great time at Florida. He will visit FSU next weekend and then make a decision after that.

AU people feel good about holland, Jefferson, and cowart.

Ole Miss feels like Jefferson is there's. FSU feels good about Cowart. Will be an interesting push to NSD.

Those 3 have said they all wanted to at with each other in college. If that's true it's only auburn and Florida in the running. I think all 3 go to auburn. The fact that Cowart left the visit early doesn't look good for Florida.

Don't these kids realize there is only one ball to go around. Bama and FSU have so many blue chip recruits at wr and rb that playing time is going to require patience.

As a Canes fan now days, at least I don't like in a fantasy world that gators fans like token live in
what fantasy world am i living in?

LULZ

I'm pretty sure it is the opposite right now, doom and gloom is more accurate

We don't have 1 top player from Florida currently committed and all of the top players we are seeking, minus possibly Ivey ( and even this is probably a longshot) are not coming

I really don't think UF is in it for him. I think it's us or FSU which sucks. If anything Id rather it be between us and UF. If we have to play against him and Dalvin next year, I'll flip out.

We absolutely need him here.

It's UF or UM IMO because his mom does not want him Tallahassee from what I heard
