Fox Sports: Why Al Golden Is All But Fired

I feel bad for those kids

I feel bad for Kaaya...half his college career (or even 75% of it if you assume he leaves early) will be flushed down the toilet by the time he's forced to learn a new system under a new coach.

This administration should shoot themselves in the face and repent for the destruction they've laid on this program. Even if he's fired after this season it will be at least 2 years too late.

This is his final season unless he wins big. So, either we win big, or he's gone. Sounds like a win win to me. My biggest concern isn't this year, it's who we hire after Golden is gone. Seriously, we can do worse, and this administration will likely go digging through the bargain bin again for the next hire. We simply can not do that this time. We need to make a good hire, period.
There is no worse than Golden. There is incompetence and their is incompetence with no idea that you suck, along with delusion that you are doing good, so you double down......Golden

I don't feel bad for any of the kids that signed after 2013. By then there was ample evidence that things were completely fckd in Coral Gables.

I look at the guys that signed in the last 2 years as misguided by their handlers at best. Total idiots at worst.

Any parent that would allow their kid to sign on an Al Gorlden rooster with the body of evidence that was available by December '13 is a dumb fk.

If you're rooting for wins at this point then no offense but you're an idiot.

If you're talking about hiring Mario Cristobal or Chud or any other unqualified coach for the simple fact that he once was a student, coached, played or simply stepped foot in the city of Miami then you're an idiot and are more of a detriment to this program than you realize.
Isnt the main goal to win?

I'll bet you are mean in a game of Connect 4.

You probably don't know spit about the Sicilian Defense though.

And all the old guys on this board keep thinking an out of work HC is the only guy that should be considered ...

The sooner the fan base leaves the late 90s, the more legitimate our gripes will be. But it's easy to dismiss the fan's perspective when the vocal ones are clamoring for a guy past his prime to replace the current guy.

He's the equivalent of what Phil Jackson is for the NY Knicks right now ... A legend with an awesome history, but the legend of what he did has no impact on the current situation.

I'm watching The U, 2 right now ... Butch came to Miami 20 years ago. He left, it's over. Let it go!

"Sometimes when you win you really lose and sometimes when you lose you really win."

Heed the wise words of Rosie Perez in White Men Can't Jump young buck and look at the big picture

our locker room ever look like this???

He had that basketball school loaded with NFL talent. Dude is a genius recruiter.
Give him two great coordinators and he would be reeling off championships with the talent he could collect. When it comes to talent evaluation and putting quality talent in the league, I dare say there is no equal.

Not to mention the fact that the guy has said leaving Miami was the worst mistake he's ever made. He wants a second shot badly. If BOT members are still butthurt about his leaving they need to get over it. Hire the guy, get a strong AD to tell him no ****ups or he's out, get two kickass coordinators that could be potential HC in waiting after Butch 3peats and hangs it up. Miami won't do it though.

Lol...you can only have a total of 9 coaches...

Close SA Cane....

HC/TE Chud
OC Ken Dorsey
RB Ice Harris or Clinton Portis
QB Steve Walsh
WR Kevin Beard
OL Mike Sullivan

DC Jim Leavitt
DL Kevin Patrick
LB Vernon Hargreaves
S Mike Rumph
CB Hurlie Brown

HC - Chud
OC - Dorsey
OL - Cristobal pay him to recruit
WR - Beard
RB - Harris
TE - Scott Tampa area

Defense entire new staff built off of attacking pressure man to man defense that replicates South Florida football

Only guy to keep would be maybe Hurlie Brown.

The reason Golden is all but fired is that from the beginning of time until now, no major college football coach whose seat was as hot as Golden's has survived. 13.5 billion years of history is telling me Golden is unlikely to be the first.

Chad Morris would be perfect for Miami. Clemson's offense with south Florida athletes, would be crazy.
