Former University of Miami players will be holding a roundtable on Thursday

Little jr. is Bama bound and no one can hate on him for that.

These media people are funny. One thing I learned tonight is they don’t get real scoops from the program because staff and players don’t trust them. Nice people but they are clueless! We are blessed to get legit info from the legends on this site.

“Who is @Cribby ?”

Agree... Im so tired of this criteria.. oh he's has to be a former Cane, he has to understand the Culture. **** that go build your own culture. Go out and hire the best AD and Head Coach you can find, PERIOD. I could careless if they are former Canes.
How many people really understand what it takes to go 58-0 at home over the course of a decade? We're talking an elite level of performance that very few understand. I could make an argument that perhaps less than ten coaches & all the players involved in that phenomenal run. If others knew what it takes, why can't anyone else do it. Miami was special...really special. You need people involved that understand performance at the uber-elite level. Former Miami guys understand that. That's why it makes sense to have them involved.

Lol. This is 1/2 the ******* problem, most of them think like this. Good thing is it won’t matter this time, and none of them truly have a say.

Tom Jurich had Louisville ranked in football, basketball, women's basketball and baseball. How many former players have that on their resume?

I’m not really for bashing the former players either. And I’m not sure if you are talking about the AD job here. But them being former players for the school has nothing to do with being an athletic director. Having given blood sweat and tears on green tree is not preparation for the administrative duties of a major sports department that features multiple scholarship sports.

If they have the non football player resume to step into a power five conference AD job with high expectations, give them a look, but don’t insult the donors, fans, students, and student athletes by using being a former cane as anything more than a tie breaker qualification. It will set us back years, and jeopardize the schools willingness to contribute to the budget if we **** this hire up and squander the apparent influx of cash that is falling into place.

Listen to them, take what they say into consideration, but this is a program future defining decision, not a reward for past glory on the field.

Seems so simple yet most here have no hope at all.Word is these former players were able to raise a good amount to help with Mario's buyout but will only give it to miami once they meet and see what miami's plan going forward is.
Seconded

I'm tired of this dumbsh1t. Dude just bc your a former player doesn't mean your an expert at anything else. Ppl need to stay in their freaking lane.

If one of your requirements is having had walk through the Hecht center with cleats on your automatically disqualified from the conversation. I know he's well intentioned but he doesn't know ****.

You talk as if these players are trying to subvert a competent athletics dept. Truth is, whether u like it or not, the plan they’re trying to implement is a lot more rational than anything the morons you’re caping for in this admin have come up with.

Only someone that worked at the warehouse of Amazon can be the CEO of Amazon

Why can’t everyone involved just want the school to hire the best AD and best HC that it can find

If Pat Riley would take the AD job I’d take him, but since he never played at Miami former players would be ****ed
