For those absolving Mario and the staff...

We were 7-5 last year lmfao. Lost some key players. As I said two weeks ago, many of the players on this roster got beat by FIU, Duke, and LaTech IN A ROW. Had one of the most embarrassing losses we've ever had to UNC...and followed it up with that MTSU game.

I get it...we want to be ahead of the curve on the fire the coach express...and Mario will have his day...but what you (and I) thought of this roster of players was wrong. Its not good. Many of these players have never been good here...ever. And the players that are "good" are wildly inconsistent. Their variance from play to play is wild.

It is what it is. You want to blame the coaches...go ahead. Who cares. No coach would look good with this group of players.

he blew a timeout early in the second half after wasting 40 seconds on the play clock w check w me. that timeout cost us close to a min at the end of the game bc we didnt have that to either stop the clock or save for the final drive (we needed that since we were scrambling to snap the ball bc the clock didnt stop).

The most concerning thing right now with the state of this program is some fans are accpeting the mtsu loss and terrible coaching because its mario and his rara speeches and local ties
 
Knighton just fumbled again. At this point the season is over so give that UAB guy touches and let Knighton leave. Then grab 2-3 rbs who knows what the **** they are doing.

1:14 was more than enough time to get a FG attempt. TVD played a great game but the last two throws cost us an attempt.

we were down to like 20 seconds running those last two plays and had to scramble up to the line. stop absolving what was a horrible use of a timeout and everyone on here would agree w that statement. we blew the whole play clock w a check w me on fourth down in the RZ only to blow a timeout when we didnt need to. it was a dumb timeout but well have one of those every week w Mario. its those little things that help give everyone some breathing room.

We were down to 16 seconds when they snapped the INT. We had around 35 seconds at the 50 yard line. That is more than enough time to get 20-25 yards and a FG attempt. TVD checking down to a covered Skinner who didn't get out of bounds cost us 20 seconds. Even if the INT goes incomplete, we still have a chance with 13 seconds left from the 50. Maybe you missed the first half with Miami scoring 3 points from the 50 with 21 seconds left?

I'm personally not firing anybody on the staff yet and understand Mario has and will have as much job security as any coach in CFB. That said, with the change in transfer rules and the fact that Mario & Co. had plenty of time to evaluate what was left in the cupboard for them- is it reasonable to just blame the players? Good coaches do wayyyy more with wayyyyy less every Saturday. Good coaches also immediately change "culture" issues too.

To be fair he was only able to evaluate what we saw on film and the film is only what schemes the old coaches were using so this first year was a lot of guessing. He will have a lot better idea on what they need going forward as he builds this thing out. I’m not sold on anything yet but I think this needs to be brought up.

It is culture. Tell me when was the last time this team didn't play down to its competition. This teams played against MTSU the way it wanted to play against Southern Miss. We really wanted to give the Southern Miss game away, but didn't. I think Mario ripped into them at half time and they woke up. Against MTSU they refused to play like they are capable of and played the game they wanted to play against Southern Miss.

So you know you can stop the clock and reset when everyone was in scramble mode when skinner stayed in bounds if we had that timeout but I guessed you missed that. Maybe re watch the game

They’re only lemons bc we don’t develop anyone or put them in the right spots beyond just this staff. That’s on manny too and richt before. If Williams went to uga you think he’s worse? Rique wasn’t a cb at uga for a reason and manny and now Mario put him there like he’s an aa there. Across the board the team and coaches suck

You want perfect. You aren't going to get perfect. The clock management in that game wasn't the issue. TVD and Rooster turning the ball over, TS2/Kam giving up the TD, and our inability to score points in the red zone cost us that game.

Manny lost to FIU and LaTech...so maybe not...and it is debatable.

Josh Gattis when at Michigan beat MTSU with a lot of the same players on the team. Mario never lost to a G5 school at Oregon. idk man. No one has made an argument for the players on this forum that convinces me its not a roster of stinky players. And any time someone might be on to something, I see Te'Corey Couch face down in the grass on 4th down, Will Mallory drop a ball when he's wide open with two hands on the ball, Michael Redding drop another wide open pass, Jahfari Harvey not hustling to his spot...idk, man...I see way too much obvious slop play-to-play to even have a coherent discussion about any of the coaches.

The coaches may not succeed here, but they definitely aren't succeeding with these jabrones.

ok that’s fine. We’re gonna agree rod disagree. I certainly don’t care to xonvince anyone. Neither of us coach so we’re all idiots in that respect. I have my opinion you have yours. We’ll see what happens later on
