Floyd Mayweather at the U.

Because it doesn't make a difference when you are as wealthy as him. His money isn't going anywhere. You sound like the guy that makes fun of Bill Gates for not knowing how to change a tire.
Again, considering that he is functionally illiterate that money can and will disappear unless he has an extremely strong team around him, that actually give a **** about his best interests.

Amazing that we live in a society where you have grown men jocking a dude that beats women, that can't read a basic commercial drop merely because he made a ton of money throwing hands. Then again, I'm not shocked we would have a ton of meatheads on this board. Money is a great fighter, but that's about it.

Wrong. You clearly don't know schit about investing if you think being able to read is a necessity. He isn't going around reading Barons and then investing 50k in ETFs and another 200k in an assort of 25 stocks because he read about it from the Motley Fool. Or reading Bogles little book to learn to invest 50% in bonds and 50% in VTI lmao.

He is doing real investing in which case reading helps, but is far from necessary. I do this for a living and if I really wanted to I could get by without reading. The only thing I really read day to day is texts, emails, and reports. I could easily use Siri to read all of these for me if I wanted.

What are you talking about? We all know he pays someone to do his investing for him, the problem is that someone that can't read is at the mercy of anyone that can. Do you know how many athletes get straight up robbed because they can't read or understand basic concepts in a contract? I hope he has a great attorney that looks out for him, but who knows?

Money can't change that he didn't get a quality education growing up, but he has the resources to fix that now. I just can't grasp why anyone would want to go through life willfully ignorant when they can fix it.

Then again, I tend to value knowledge because if you are intelligent and able to gather and utilize information, the money will always come.

A buddy of mine used to work valet at the Fountainebleu. He said Floyd was a regular guest, he’d book an entire block of a floor for himself and his crew. Whenever he was getting ready to check out, before leaving he would ask for all the valet, housekeepers, maintenance, front desk attendants etc on duty to come to the lobby and he would proceed to tip each employee $300 cash.

IF True, that's a classy move 😎

I am explaining that how you invest your retirement savings is very different from how the wealthy invest their money. Your first paragraph is very telling regarding your understanding of investing.

If I was worth half a billion dollars and had a poor education. The last thing I would waste my time doing is going back and taking ******* middle school classes lmao. I would just keep passively investing my money and enjoying life to the fullest.

No Run Floyd Run would have waited till Hagler was 45 then agree to fight him
How old was Canelo when Floyd whooped him? Oh let me guess..Floyd fought him too soon and Canelo wasnt in his prime yet right? LOL. Floyd haters just hate the guy for no reason. He carried boxing for 20 years. We should be thankful because post-Tyson..Boxing was in serious trouble like it is now that Floyd is gone.

can't gloss over or condone his domestic incidents. hope he has learned from them but at the end of the day he's one of the best ever in his sport and sustained it for many years. you have to respect someone who achieves and sustains greatness at anything. As to his money I think it might be nearly impossible for him to squander a fortune of that size even if he reads at a low level. I suppose anything is possible but it would be pretty difficult to do.

Na, Tank Davis taking the reigns from here on out...

That's always the last refuge of Haters "He'll blow it all away" . They waste their time hoping someone else fails, just because he's not just like them.

Sorry, but every successful person is not just like you. So he has flaws...EVERYONE does.

Personally, I will celebrate anyone who achieves success as long as they've earned it themselves and achieved it legally because it takes lots of fortitude to overcome the many disadvantages that are present in life.

The only ones that make me cringe are the one's whose success was due to someone else's efforts not their own i.e. inherited "success". Because they'll never know the pain and substantial effort that goes into building your very own success. They feel entitled although they're clearly not.

Anyway, I try to focus on continuing achieving and maintaining my own success. Not trying to find fault in others who've achieved their own success.

Well said Sir. Thank you 👊🏿💯

I always thought that was because he was a very defensive fighter. People like to see a lot of punches landing dramatically.
100%. I love MMA in part because of that. Boxing is kind of like point style karate for me at times. Not my thing lol

Some of the more recent big name boxing matches have been incredible though. Fury, Canelo, Usyk.
