Or hopefully Mario can prove he’s adaptable and can find an OC that’s worth a ****. If Manny’s lispy *** could do it with half the budget then hopefully Mario can too. Otherwise it’ll be a long 5 or so seasons.

I don’t wanna hear talent pool, b/c I’ve seen Baylor, TCU, OK St all recruit at a **** poor level compared to their competition (on paper) & fight way above their weight class. Also, if u’re going to use the recruit angle, well who’s the recruiter & why is he recruiting at such a low level for 21 yrs?

If we wanna fiend for a real coach w/ an offensive mind, fiend over Hugh Freeze. They can say he cheated all they want at Ole Miss, but he’s doing the same chit at Liberty, & I didn’t even know Liberty was a school until Hugh; but this Mike Leach obsession gotta go.

He don’t connect w/ kids, he’s a low key weirdo, & he’s 7-5 per stop, w/ a blue moon “ataboy” 10+ win season.

Hugh Freeze is one of my favorites. You make some good points per usual. I saw Jimmy have the same struggles at Okie state and Dennis did basically the same thing in all his stops out west yet those 2 account for 3 of our 5 titles.

I will grant you that it is a different game now compared to when Jimmy and Dennis came here. I'm not trying to make Leach out to be some under the radar Urban Meyer. I just don't think he "sucks". He has his strengths and weaknesses. I do admit I have been more intrigued by Leach lately but it's not to the point where I think he would be a slam dunk here.

Getting back to Freeze, I'm in total agreement with you there. They can say he cheated all they want but we all know that Saban, Swinney, Meyer and Smart have all been doing the same or worse. Freeze would have been a very good hire here. It was just never going to happen and that is a shame.

I was team Hugh all the way. Every where that guy has gone, he’s won. I can guarandamntee this board that if Hugh was doing what he was doing at UF, Bama, UGA, or Tenn, he would’ve been good to go. But b/c it was Ole Miss, the tolerated step child of the SEC like its red headed cousin MSU, all the snitches came out.

Love Hugh & he was Coach 1 for me, well him & Urban.

I think Cristobal will get things turned around. I repeatedly gave caution to the wind b/c I didn’t think his personality or style meshed w/ this group of athletes. I didn’t think it would be this painful, & if anyone knows him, I’m sure he’s even more ****ed.

I think we’ll see a mass turnover on the coaching staff & the roster. Rad is legit one of the best ADs in the nation, so that’s y I have even more confidence. While he was at GT, they were very successful.

But man, I can’t hear no more Leach talk. Lol. I, too, was once upon a time enamored w/ him, but that’s b/c he had some fun offenses. When I started really peeping, I was like this dude is just an exciting 7-5 guy.
