The question will be:
Are these big $ backers loyal to Miami?
Or are they loyal to Mario?
At some point, they're not going to keep investing, whether in Miami or Mario, if they don't get returns. Those guys invest because they want a national title. They want Miami back on top, where it belongs.
They have been willing to write blank checks because they believe Mario is the guy to do it. And his leash may be longer than many other coaches. But at some point, they'll start doubting Mario and Mario will be given restrictions/limitations like "you need to give this up" or "you need to hire this coach" or something like that. And Mario will be forced to adapt or die.
Then the backers can decide again how involved they want to be with hiring another coach.
