Considering that before James became AD we had Hoccutt and Eichorst here as AD's. These guys being non Miami guys and look where that has gotten the Football program. Why not hire guys who came through your program who have had tons of success throughout their football careers. I'm not even advocating hiring players with no coaching experience, but when you look at Highsmith's resume and you're going to tell me he wouldn't be a more successful college AD than James, who by the way became AD after being essentially really good at sales come on man give me a break. And Cristobal is one of the better coaches in CFB right now who also just happens to have come through UM, maybe it is time UM reaches back into it's glory days and bring back players who have cut their teeth grinded hard and earned the positions they have.Because "Miami Guy Bro".
Our fans are like Marty McFly, The Chicago Bears and the Edmonton Oilers: In order for them to have any relevance, we have to go back to 1985. Seriously. Any time a move has to be made, some guy that was here 30+ years ago is brought up as the only person that could figure this out. Ever wonder WHY Miami football dwells in the past? Because the powers that be know that the only thing you have to do is dangle some shiny relic from the Reagan administration in front of our fans and they'll shut up.
Organization inbreeding has to stop, and it should have stopped years ago. Go out and get the best person you can get, with the budget available. Not a complicated concept.
