First thing that needs to be done.

Because "Miami Guy Bro".

Our fans are like Marty McFly, The Chicago Bears and the Edmonton Oilers: In order for them to have any relevance, we have to go back to 1985. Seriously. Any time a move has to be made, some guy that was here 30+ years ago is brought up as the only person that could figure this out. Ever wonder WHY Miami football dwells in the past? Because the powers that be know that the only thing you have to do is dangle some shiny relic from the Reagan administration in front of our fans and they'll shut up.

Organization inbreeding has to stop, and it should have stopped years ago. Go out and get the best person you can get, with the budget available. Not a complicated concept.
Considering that before James became AD we had Hoccutt and Eichorst here as AD's. These guys being non Miami guys and look where that has gotten the Football program. Why not hire guys who came through your program who have had tons of success throughout their football careers. I'm not even advocating hiring players with no coaching experience, but when you look at Highsmith's resume and you're going to tell me he wouldn't be a more successful college AD than James, who by the way became AD after being essentially really good at sales come on man give me a break. And Cristobal is one of the better coaches in CFB right now who also just happens to have come through UM, maybe it is time UM reaches back into it's glory days and bring back players who have cut their teeth grinded hard and earned the positions they have.

Just my choice, his experience as an NFL Executive trumps what he would need to run an athletic department that has been on the decline for the last 10 years.
NFL Executive isn't as much work, or a balance of as many interests as College AD. AD is a more delicate act, and requires a greater array of skills.

Idk about AD off the rip for Zo, but imo he definitely should have a position here somewhere. Director of football operations? Idk...somethin.

I think some of the comments on this board are hilarious. Certainly BOTH Manny and Blake are on the hot seats.

Hire Alonzo for AD and he can hire assistant ADs to handle all the other sports that everyone thinks are so difficult.

Fake James should be fired this week.
Hire a research firm and hire a real AD, Highsmith would be a good hire In my opinion.
AD needs to be involved in the firing/hiring of a new HC, which means Manny may be here until the end of the year. Just depends on when the new AD is hired.

Board of Trustees is the cancer; Blake James is the fatigue that comes from having cancer.

The BoT will just shove another puppet in James' role—it would solve literally nothing.

Don’t agree, BOT’s are there because of one reason $ and hard to replace, it’s like a club.

Fake James unfortunately was basically promoted from an associate position from the ticket office and has been in over his head since day 1. This was a mistake and I doubt this mistake will be made agsin.

Makes me laugh all these comments about a few people that were mentioned that they couldn’t handle the job, let me remind who has been doing it for the past 8 years …… smfh
