If this had been going on at Baga or Taint for 15-20 years, the natives would have long past been on campus with pitchforks and torches. The fans need to start doing more than just commenting on football boards for heads to roll at the Hecht.

No more donations or going to games is a start. The mission goal should be to get Flake, Chucky’s bride (Strawley), Danny Miaz, and the rest of the woke S.J.W., athletic department destroyers as far away from Coral Gables as possible.
 
Will u guys FINALLY realize what I’ve been trying to convey about why this NIL situation is no bueno for THIS VERSION of Miami Hurricanes?

It has zero to do w/ the market a team is in & everything to do w/ the “marketability” of a team & its players. No one wants to be associated w/ a program that’s not marquee. If this was the Canes of the 80’s - 2003, we would have hella big time NIL deals; that’s not the case now. NILs r going to benefit programs like Bama, Clemson, OSU, Oregon, etc.

U’ve now heard it from the horses mouth.

P.S- shout to Lambert for even going on wax talking about the woes of being a diehard Cane fan & putting up his own $ to try to help, along w/ trying to get others to help. Love him on AEW, too.

This. 100x this. Dimare bought his idiot son a job coaching Miami's baseball team for life. He's not going to do a thing to force out the guy who sold him that. I'm not saying Blake James is untouchable, but the pressure isn't going to come from 🍅 👑.

In truth, they don't even have to fire him if they feel that strongly he is competent at parts of his job; ie fundraising. Just reassign him. Move him to another part of the University and let him do that there. His salary can't be that big a deal.

Restructure the athletic department: IDK if Highsmith WANTS to run the whole show, that has to be a consideration also. But getting rid of Blake and cleaning house would allow AH to set it up the way he wants.

That’s the most likely option. Or have him not be involved with football. I could see one of these two options versus being fired.

Alonzo is a die hard cane through and through. I’m sure he’d love to attend a woman’s volleyball game(who wouldn’t) or a soccer game or track meet

Generally agreed but when you do blatantly bring nepotism into play, it complicates that. In turn, it’s kind of hard for him to go all in on Blake, since Blake did that for him. If there was a new AD tomorrow and that person wanted to fire Gino, how would that go down?

What makes you so sure AH can run an entire AD? Football ops head? Sure but AD??
