Not sure if it got posted already but did you guys see it was Jennings who kicked the helmet FSU legacy haha 😂😂

Got me all warm and fuzzy again @The Franchise like I was after embarrassing the semenholes on national TV.

As far as Lashlee is concerned, I believe he'll stay at least one more year. With this Covid **** and it's been widely reported his family loves the city. Manny could entice him to stay with a bump in title (Asst HC) and salary.

King coming back will depend on several factors. How the rest of this season goes, his draft stock, where/if he is nominated for the Heisman. Obviously would love to see him start against Alabaga next year. Time will tell.

I know it's only been 3 games, but something I don't think has been mentioned about our D is that our O is averaging over 43 a game. The opposing offense has to come out firing bazookas at us to try and keep up. In the recent past, opposing offenses knew they didn't have to score much because we were like sloths on offense. Our rapid fire Lashlee offense has completely changed the way opposing offenses will attack our D. Do we have a couple of holes on D? Sure. But for the most part, I think our D has been solid and I was encouraged that Baker seemed to KISS (keep it simple stupid) things against the semenholes.

We've got some challenges ahead - obviously Clem$on, Pitts D, @ Vag Tech, home with tobacco road UNC. If we can stay focused on the task at hand, this could be a special year.

I also agree with @FrancisSaywer that you should do this Fireside Chat as a weekly column.

Great write-up @The Franchise, Your post is on point! The offense is clicking, the defense looked better, but where's the LB'ers??
The DB's I was focused on and did me proud! I have to give Ivy his due props, since I ragged on him last week, he played really well and Frierson, also! Bolden is a beast and our best safety! This Fireside chat has some legs, run with it, my brother! It feels great running the holes out of the state! I love it!!

Anyone for s'mores and champagne??

Here we go, boys! This team has some of that 2019 LSU feel to it. Same type of metamorphosis is going on in Coral Gables--a good defensive team that constantly languished in the Stone Ages on offense. Lash is our Joe Brady. King is our Burrow. We've actually got better talent at RB, and they had better talent to WR. But there's still that growing parallel.

Speaking of LSU, I tried to tell the dummies that they're not a great D and that they rode a wave last year. Where's that Youngstown valet, Bernie 2.0, who tried to tell me Bo Pelini was too good to come to UM? Fck Bo Pelini and his cats. And fck Youngstown and fck the Poops family and Eddie Retardolo. Pelini hasn't stopped anyone since Suh left Nebraska.

And where's my Orgeron *** suckers? LOL. Tried to tell you overreacting fools that LSU caught lightning in a bottle last year with Brady and Burrow. If King can continue progressing every week and cut down on some of those occasional lapses where he misses a wide open walk in TD, we have a shot at a magical run. Of course, as everyone already knows, the real test is in two weeks. If we go up to the Hayseed Hilton and **** the sheets, none of this matters. It'll be another Miami mirage, and it'll crash.

LOL at FSU. Decimating them like that was everything to me. People keep crying about 2020. Your Legend has never been happier. Then, there was Saturday night. Watching that fat **** traitor Lucas despondent and seemingly catatonic was like Viagra to me. That OL was was more putrid than microwaved chicken.

Seeing Blackman switch it off so blatantly gave me incredible blood flow.

Seeing that FSU DL gasping for air and wanting out by the 2nd quarter was gold. Seeing all mouth Wilson looking for an out by ducking his head and praying for a targeting call like a fat billy goat should have its own category on Pornhub.

I called my doctor for an erection that lasted longer than 4 hours watching that midget traitor Samuel laughing on the sideline down by 40.

Philosophy: Do everything you can to swallow all this in. Lashlee is a star in every sense of the word. He's a one and done guy unless he's holding on for a major P5 HC gig. If he'll take a Temple type gig, he's gone after this year. If King goes, there's no King walking through those doors any time soon. I'll use LSU again, but look at that stiff Brennan compare to Burrow. So, soak it in, and relish it, and don't waste the season nitpicking every little thing.

The hope is that a season like this gives the program the momentum I've been talking about. Play in the ACCCG. Sign a great class. Play in the ACCCG again, and sign a better class. Take the incremental steps that Clemson took. The only problem is that when you strike it big with an OC like Lashlee, you need to do it again right away. Clemson got lucky because Venables turned that program around, and he was too much of a spazz to be a HC. Now, he's become a Pud Foster lifer. Diaz needs to have a plan when it comes to that OC spot because this is exactly what this program has needed and exactly what I've been calling for for over a decade.

Pros: The number one pro is the pornography of seeing us humiliate, castrate and defenestrate FSU.

King. My beloved little Staffy Bull King is the elixir this parched fanbase has been waiting for. Instead of taking this gift and trying to force him into a decayed system, he's got the great Lashlee. Any chance we squeeze one more year out of this marriage? As good as it is this year, could you imagine year 2 with these two cold blooded killers together?

Best play was when he saw that fat ***** Wilson bearing down on him ready to flop all his dead useless weight on him, he didn't flinch. Stood in there like the tough guy he is and hit Wiggins for a long TD.

Lashlee. Stud. He gives me those old JJ swag vibes. I could imagine him red-faced in the locker room at half-time screaming "Don't let up!" over and over ala JJ when he was in the process of sodomizing Jerry Faust.

This dude gave zero fcks about glad handing FSU and easing up on them. He's out there throwing it in the endzone up by 35 with 5 minutes left. THAT IS MOTHERFCKING FOOTBALL!! That's what I live for and why I fell in love with football. The hate of rivals and the desire to choke the life out of them and then fck their lifeless corpses. I hate Boner Hayes, but I'll never forget when a reporter asked him why he went for 2 instead of kicking the PAT at the end of a game against Michigan that he had won, and Boner replied, "Because I couldn't go for 3." That is football.

Until Lash got here, our swag was fake. There was bluster, but it all seemed rehearsed, and it was just lip service. This dude gives us that real deal stuff.

Al Blades. This dude gets better every week. He's playing with confidence and juice.

DJ Ivey. Way to rally, dude. Our corners shut them down again like we did last year. They picked up some useless yards in the throw game, but it was Charlie Checkdown **** and garbage time yards outside of the 2 scripted series.

That 3 headed monster at RB is special. How about Duck Chaney? Anyone who thought he was soft based on HS stuff was dead wrong. He ran like a lion last night. He was looking to punish people. Reminds me of the people who were questioning Deon Bush's toughness, and then he got here and did nothing but sacrifice his body and bushwhack people.

Dee Wiggins loves buttfcking FSU. He's going to show up for a long TD every time we play those fazzits.

Big Ragu out there making plays in garbage time. That's what I want to see.

How about big Zion stepping in and Wally Pipping John Campbell. Haven't read the board, so I don't know what happened to Campbell, but this is what it looks like to have a few competent backup OL and a great OC and OL coach. Haven't that in forever.

Who's the guy who was trying to tell me Bubba Bolden isn't our best S? Not only is he our best S, but he's one of the best S in the country.

That loud "WHEW!!" you heard was from Knighton. He was almost another in the long line of S FL traitors who wound at one of those redneck dumpsters up north. Glad he came to his senses.

Cons: None really because we just beat FSU by a thousand points.

Things we can work on:

Harley looked like he turned it around, and then he starts dropping passes again.

Pope is an adventure on PR.

Love Phillips's emotion because that's why he goes as hard as he does. He's a driven kid. But he can't get kicked out against a good team.

Need more speed at LB. There is some of that on the team, but they must not trust those guys yet.

Still waiting for a big moment from Gurvan Hall.
Hemingwayesque

I don't know how many times last year posters brought up corch "I took 20 something years to finally win one" O to justify firing Manny after 3 plays

Chise, could you imagine King and 'Netflix' if they had a full spring practice together? Scary thing is, they haven't even played a 'clean' game yet.

Also I thought Gil Freirson played his best game as a Hurricane, last two weeks he has really come on. He's turned the corner as a player

As for FSU, they can rip Norvell all the want, but they have a load of front runners and malcontents. And they will probably look like 'Escape from Saigon' with all the transfers that will be looking to bolt out of Tally. All those guys who spurned UM for FSU, I wonder what is going through their minds right now.

LIke I said before, two consecutive weeks on ABC prime time, UM hit two grand slams. They sent a message to recruits all over the country in my view

Now, we have two weeks to prepare for Clemson. Manny, show me something
I completely forgot about Gil. Thanks for reminding me, bro. He was at his best against FSU. Best he's ever played, and that's the standard for him now, so there's no turning back, Gil. You showed us what you're capable of and the energy you can bring.

One thing that makes me even more hopeful and King and Lash is they haven't even hit their full stride yet. Imagine what this offense will be capable of looking like during the final few games of this season.

Well done. I was looking forward to one of your fireside chats after face phucking the noles. That Clemson game is going to tell us a lot. The 2019 LSU comparison seems very fitting and I was thinking about that today. In college football today you can do amazing things with the right QB and OC and that's exactly what we have in King and Lashlee.

Love how this team is beginning to take on Lashlee's personality. You're right. It's not a fake swagger, it's the real thing and it's glorious to see. I am really enjoying this team and you can tell that we are just starting to catch on to how good we can be. I can wait to see this squad by the end of the year.

Let's say that Clemson beats us in an exciting hard fought game in 2 weeks. I don't think that necessarily eliminates the possibility of a magical season as we could always pay them back later in the season.

I agree about Lashlee but he may have a desire to stick around for a few years and be part of resurrecting the UM brand and getting a title. As for King, sure he can try to go pro but I think he ultimately decides to come back. He isn't going to be a high draft pick and what he has right now is something he will never get the opportunity to live again. I think he comes back next year for the opportunity to win a national title.

It's great watching kids like Blades, Frierson and Harrison Hunte really start coming into their own as well as guys like Bolden, Phillips, Silvera and Roche get better and better every week. The young kids at LB are the key. They have the speed and talent but they need to keep learning. I think LB will look very different by the end of the year.

I was also very encouraged by how Baker responded after that first FSU drive. He showed me that he can bring it when he so chooses. It seemed like after the first defensive series, Baker said "**** This BS!" and turned up the heat to maximum. Those nole QBs were shellshocked lol. Sure we gave up some big chunk runs but they were never a legitimate threat to us.

This team is having fun and they are getting better and better every week. The most dangerous thing for whoever plays us is that these kids are beginning to have confidence and belief in themselves and if that continues and it will, we are going to have a **** good football team in Coral Gables.

One more thing Chise. You should make this Fireside Chat a weekly feature. The content is excellent and everyone loves it. It's both insightful and hilarious at the same time. You could do this writeup every Sunday night following a game.
Thanks for the good words, bro. You know what my hope is? That Lash doesn't get the HC gig he wants after this season and comes back and convinces King to come back. If Lash leaves, King leaves even though I suspect you're right about him not being a high NFL pick.

Maybe a guy who made that decision to come back and play for a NC (Ed Reed) being around can start changing some minds about being so quick to run to the NFL to be drafted in the 7th round. Coming back didn't hurt Ed's NFL career did it? And he got another year here and a NC. Hopefully, it'll start being fun here again, and guys won't be in such a hurry to go off and get undrafted.

He did play his best but the energy part you mentioned was different from him... Even my ol' lady who doesn't really follow football like that was like who is #3? That dude is crazy.

It was like he chose that big stage for his coming out party. Like I said, that's the standard now. He can't go back to coasting and being low energy after that. He was possessed.

Nailed it, once again, friend. Lash is this year's brady. I think we all knew what a competent OC could do with this putrid offense based on what a decent DC could do with a putrid defense (Donofrio). And, the ironic part is that our offense is probably simpler and easier to learn than Penos'!

That said, I do think we get Lash for one more year but then he's starting to field offers from the SMU's of the world. Heck, maybe Auburn cans Maz and takes a chance on LAsh. Regardless, Manny has to start having a convo with Lash soon about his future here and also keep a running list of candidates to take over once Lash leaves. I would love to keep Justice and Likens, also.

What kind of offense did Justice run during his stint as an OC?

I think everyone on the defense feels more excited now. They know that they don't have to hold the other team to zero scores. They can play fast and get after it.
