Fireside Chat w/ Your Beloved Legend

Not always as easy as paying more. A winner like Lash wants to be a HC and run his own program. If the right offer comes, he's gone.

Yeah I totally agree with you. And it’s unrealistic to think otherwise.

I just hope that nothing comes along at the end of this season that he finds appealing.

That’s the best shot we have. because no amount of money is going to keep him here if someone offers him a job which he thinks is ideal for his next move.

Splendid as usual, Chise.

These chats feel a little better than last season's version.

Naw bruh.

The fire last year looked more like.......

Here we go, boys! This team has some of that 2019 LSU feel to it. Same type of metamorphosis is going on in Coral Gables--a good defensive team that constantly languished in the Stone Ages on offense. Lash is our Joe Brady. King is our Burrow. We've actually got better talent at RB, and they had better talent to WR. But there's still that growing parallel.

Speaking of LSU, I tried to tell the dummies that they're not a great D and that they rode a wave last year. Where's that Youngstown valet, Bernie 2.0, who tried to tell me Bo Pelini was too good to come to UM? Fck Bo Pelini and his cats. And fck Youngstown and fck the Poops family and Eddie Retardolo. Pelini hasn't stopped anyone since Suh left Nebraska.

And where's my Orgeron *** suckers? LOL. Tried to tell you overreacting fools that LSU caught lightning in a bottle last year with Brady and Burrow. If King can continue progressing every week and cut down on some of those occasional lapses where he misses a wide open walk in TD, we have a shot at a magical run. Of course, as everyone already knows, the real test is in two weeks. If we go up to the Hayseed Hilton and **** the sheets, none of this matters. It'll be another Miami mirage, and it'll crash.

LOL at FSU. Decimating them like that was everything to me. People keep crying about 2020. Your Legend has never been happier. Then, there was Saturday night. Watching that fat **** traitor Lucas despondent and seemingly catatonic was like Viagra to me. That OL was was more putrid than microwaved chicken.

Seeing Blackman switch it off so blatantly gave me incredible blood flow.

Seeing that FSU DL gasping for air and wanting out by the 2nd quarter was gold. Seeing all mouth Wilson looking for an out by ducking his head and praying for a targeting call like a fat billy goat should have its own category on Pornhub.

I called my doctor for an erection that lasted longer than 4 hours watching that midget traitor Samuel laughing on the sideline down by 40.

Philosophy: Do everything you can to swallow all this in. Lashlee is a star in every sense of the word. He's a one and done guy unless he's holding on for a major P5 HC gig. If he'll take a Temple type gig, he's gone after this year. If King goes, there's no King walking through those doors any time soon. I'll use LSU again, but look at that stiff Brennan compare to Burrow. So, soak it in, and relish it, and don't waste the season nitpicking every little thing.

The hope is that a season like this gives the program the momentum I've been talking about. Play in the ACCCG. Sign a great class. Play in the ACCCG again, and sign a better class. Take the incremental steps that Clemson took. The only problem is that when you strike it big with an OC like Lashlee, you need to do it again right away. Clemson got lucky because Venables turned that program around, and he was too much of a spazz to be a HC. Now, he's become a Pud Foster lifer. Diaz needs to have a plan when it comes to that OC spot because this is exactly what this program has needed and exactly what I've been calling for for over a decade.

Pros: The number one pro is the pornography of seeing us humiliate, castrate and defenestrate FSU.

King. My beloved little Staffy Bull King is the elixir this parched fanbase has been waiting for. Instead of taking this gift and trying to force him into a decayed system, he's got the great Lashlee. Any chance we squeeze one more year out of this marriage? As good as it is this year, could you imagine year 2 with these two cold blooded killers together?

Best play was when he saw that fat ***** Wilson bearing down on him ready to flop all his dead useless weight on him, he didn't flinch. Stood in there like the tough guy he is and hit Wiggins for a long TD.

Lashlee. Stud. He gives me those old JJ swag vibes. I could imagine him red-faced in the locker room at half-time screaming "Don't let up!" over and over ala JJ when he was in the process of sodomizing Jerry Faust.

This dude gave zero fcks about glad handing FSU and easing up on them. He's out there throwing it in the endzone up by 35 with 5 minutes left. THAT IS MOTHERFCKING FOOTBALL!! That's what I live for and why I fell in love with football. The hate of rivals and the desire to choke the life out of them and then fck their lifeless corpses. I hate Boner Hayes, but I'll never forget when a reporter asked him why he went for 2 instead of kicking the PAT at the end of a game against Michigan that he had won, and Boner replied, "Because I couldn't go for 3." That is football.

Until Lash got here, our swag was fake. There was bluster, but it all seemed rehearsed, and it was just lip service. This dude gives us that real deal stuff.

Al Blades. This dude gets better every week. He's playing with confidence and juice.

DJ Ivey. Way to rally, dude. Our corners shut them down again like we did last year. They picked up some useless yards in the throw game, but it was Charlie Checkdown **** and garbage time yards outside of the 2 scripted series.

That 3 headed monster at RB is special. How about Duck Chaney? Anyone who thought he was soft based on HS stuff was dead wrong. He ran like a lion last night. He was looking to punish people. Reminds me of the people who were questioning Deon Bush's toughness, and then he got here and did nothing but sacrifice his body and bushwhack people.

Dee Wiggins loves buttfcking FSU. He's going to show up for a long TD every time we play those fazzits.

Big Ragu out there making plays in garbage time. That's what I want to see.

How about big Zion stepping in and Wally Pipping John Campbell. Haven't read the board, so I don't know what happened to Campbell, but this is what it looks like to have a few competent backup OL and a great OC and OL coach. Haven't that in forever.

Who's the guy who was trying to tell me Bubba Bolden isn't our best S? Not only is he our best S, but he's one of the best S in the country.

That loud "WHEW!!" you heard was from Knighton. He was almost another in the long line of S FL traitors who wound at one of those redneck dumpsters up north. Glad he came to his senses.

Cons: None really because we just beat FSU by a thousand points.

Things we can work on:

Harley looked like he turned it around, and then he starts dropping passes again.

Pope is an adventure on PR.

Love Phillips's emotion because that's why he goes as hard as he does. He's a driven kid. But he can't get kicked out against a good team.

Need more speed at LB. There is some of that on the team, but they must not trust those guys yet.

Still waiting for a big moment from Gurvan Hall.
THIS is why I come to CIS. Franchise at his finest.
Love that bravado. Same as what DMoney brings in the pod. Come to think of it, never seen them both in the same place at the same time...🧐

If Lashlee stays one more year and beats the elephant there will be blue bloods with a blank check telling him “just put down the number of zeros you want and we’ll handle the rest”

Lash is awesome. No way he should settle for a crappy HC gig. Those can be career killers (even for highly talented coaches). Look at what happened to Butch Davis by making a really poor decision (he should never have chosen the lowly Browns and now he's rotting at lowly FIU).

If I was Manny & Blake, I'd make Lash Associate HC (maybe even Co-HC at some point) and try to keep Manny & Rhett together for many years. Pay the man & keep him at Miami. Rhett can recruit incredible athletes at Miami and make us a powerhouse again with a few years of exceptional recruiting. We would never lose if the best players from the State of Miami stick together & play for the Canes. Rhett can also provide stability for his family by staying in Miami.

It's great to see us spreading things out & getting some "easy" scores (winning by design instead of just trying to "out-athlete" the opposition). It's also great to see what we all clamored for coming to fruition. There's no doubt that Mr. King is also a huge factor in making this happen. Love his leadership & decision-making. Praying he sticks around for another year.

I like what Pope offers at the WR position but we've got to make a switch at PR. It is way too much of an adventure. Cannot have those types of mistakes against Clemson. Put someone back there that makes good decisions about fielding the punt & has dependable hands.

Let's stun Clemson & the CFB world.
You need to post more often.

I think Gurvan is who he is! Just like Pope is who he is. Bolden flashes and makes plays. You either do or you don't at this level. Carter is always a step late or taking the wrong angle. Question:

Do we go with Campbell at Clemson or stick with Zion?
That last question is a good one. Zion played so well against the noles that I didn't even notice he was in the game. Trust me that's a compliment. When I start noticing OL individually during a game it means that they are getting beat for sacks or committing penalties.

The noles may be cheeks right now but their DL is the best we have played this season so far. I say start Zion but ultimately that will be decided by the guy who would know best, Coach Justice. I'll leave it up to him and be good with whatever he decides.

Excellent. But did you mention we could get King and Lashlee back for one more run? I thought King was done? And agree with everything you said about Lashlee. Surprised he hasn't whipped it out on the sidelines yet and told everyone to have some cack. He's savage.

Franchise, what are the chances of getting Canesoverhere's Kevin S to come back out of the woodwork in these glorious times?
Many have tried to bite Kevin S's inimitable style, but they've failed miserably. Theirz olny 1 Kevin S lol

Old pal, this is free year for all participants. So if you're a senior this year, you can come back and play next year.

If Frierson can lock down the stiker role I can say I have full confidence in Bolden, Nesta, JHH, Roche, Philips, Blades, & Frierson. 7/11 ain’t bad. LB’s, Ivey, & the other S spot are a little worrisome but they aren’t the worst either.

If I had to guess on a replacement from within, it would be Justice. He has a spread background, and seems like a bright guy. Let's see though. We should be making a concerted effort to train Lash's replacement while he's here.

Good news is there are spread guys out there versed in similar systems. I love Heupel's approach, so I'd try to steal Lebby from Old Urine. Heupel calls plays at UCF, but it looks like he might be grooming Joey Haizle, who has either been coached by Heupel or coached with him for about 10 years.
He also has called plays before even though it was at UNLV.

In 2018 I was always asked by OSU fans, "Is the U back?" And it was always with a smirk because we all knew that it was smoke and mirrors. The day b4 yesterday I was asked the same question by another OSU fan, but this time there was no smirk; there was no sense of superiority; there was genuine concern and, dare I say, fear. We all knew what would happen if we ever got out of our own way and got competent leadership here. And the entire CFB world knew it too. Now I don't know where all of this will ultimately lead to, but you can feel the collective footbal world holding their breath, hoping that Clem$on destroys any momentum we are amassing. Didn't mean to be so long-winded.

Miami is back when we win a national title.

End of conversation.

2021 with KING & LASH back we would be pre season top 5 I'd have to think. If those 2 stay I'd expect everyone back.
That would be amazing! Just think what this squad could do if King and Lash come back and convince Bolden, Blades, Silvera, Phillips Roche, J Williams and Borregalles to come back. I would have added Cam Harris and Brevin Jordan to that list but that's really pushing it LOL. With Ed Reed here and a legit opportunity to win a National Championship Anything is possible!

Thanks for the good words, bro. You know what my hope is? That Lash doesn't get the HC gig he wants after this season and comes back and convinces King to come back. If Lash leaves, King leaves even though I suspect you're right about him not being a high NFL pick.

Maybe a guy who made that decision to come back and play for a NC (Ed Reed) being around can start changing some minds about being so quick to run to the NFL to be drafted in the 7th round. Coming back didn't hurt Ed's NFL career did it? And he got another year here and a NC. Hopefully, it'll start being fun here again, and guys won't be in such a hurry to go off and get undrafted.

Good point. Something I hadn't thought of. Reed will be in these kids' ears. That in combination with the reality that so many former Canes ruined their careers by leaving too soon could tip the scales for this program's recent history of kids making bad offseason decisions.

That and booting The Brow and his 7th Rd Management degenerates way the f*@k off our campus.

Lashlee.

Can’t believe a waited this long to read this post. Bravo.
