Ferman say about Cristobal?

Some of you guys clowning Cristobal need to realize it doesn't matter who the coach is next year, as long as it isn't Golden. He cannot be allowed to stay. The football program is at a dangerous crossroad right now. If the correct path is not taken, we might be UAB before we know it.

We've rolled with that assertion for over a decade, pal. The results aren't pretty.
Didn't mean it like that. Just saying anything is an upgrade at this point. Anyone who would rather have Al here next year instead of Cristabol is sadly confused.

I understand what you're saying but it's just symptomatic of how beaten down they've made us. Have a lot of us almost ready to be content with any improvement at all.

I have no faith in the administration getting the right guy. We used to be great at hiring and now every move seems to be the wrong move and not to mention we continue to extend these ****** coaches for no **** reason.

LULZ at the stupidity of anyone stumping for Beanerdict Arnold to be the HC here. More of that idiotic "he can recruit" nonsense. Yep. Just like we heard about Folden.

And just like Folden, he'd do a decent job recruiting until everyone figured him out for the fraud he is losing 4 or 5 games a year. Then, the bottom falls out in recruiting just like it did for Folden.

Any good HC who isn't a lazy slob can recruit down here. Win football games, develop players, and you'll have your choice of the best players in the country right in your backyard.

Do you think Nick Saban is some sort of super charismatic dynamic recruiter, or is he a great HC and leader who gets results and gets kids wanting to play for him?

All this slick talking fake cool guy super recruiter **** is a ruse. If you don't have a top level HC here you're never going to sustain any recruiting momentum.

Open the checkbook, and make Gary Pinkel tell you no. If he tells you no, call Rick Rod, and so on until you find your Jimmy Larranaga.

Hiring Temple's head coach didn't work out so well so lets hire the guy who got fired from FIU. Awesome.

If they get my hopes up by firing Golden only to subsequently hire Mario Cristobal I am officially done with college football. I can think of better ways to torture myself on Saturdays.

Just go get a proven winner. No low level coach unless he has killed it like Urban Meyer did at utah. Peterson at Boise. If you want to get back to the top go get a proven guy at a power 5 level. Cristobal aint that. Stoops aint that. Stop experimenting, Its not working.

He stated for the record that Cristobal is single handedly responsible for these top athletes...:

4*DE Christian Bell
4*DB Shawn Burgess-Becker
4*Lester Cotton
5*Minkah Fitzpatrick
5*Calvin Ridley....

Mean while at Miami ....Crickets
single handedly LMAO u think those kids are going to bama because mario christobal and not nick saban and Bama being ranked #1 year after year after year

so single handedly you say? so if mario comes here u expect these kids to follow him to miami right? LOL

Hey OP asked so I gave him an answer.... IDK but who would not want to be apart of that that jogger not...ya know?

Jesus Christ, Fire Golden, hire Mark Stoops and he will probably keep Coley and most of the offensive staff. Your coaching turnover is mitigated to mostly the defensive side of the ball, you keep the same OC for Kaaya and everyone wins.

IMO Mark Stoops is the most realistic "best" option we have. He's not great, but I think he's solid and would do a very good job at Miami. Coley is a below average OC, but maybe he can grow into the role.

I'm not convinced Stoops would take the job. He might, but i don't think it's a foregone conclusion. but I agree, he'd be a huge upgrade, and a relatively seamless transition, given his history here (and FSU).

Sam Janckovich was the gold standard. It fell off with Paul Dee; and since he left, it's been in a nosedive.

Give me Butch that's who I want, I know I'm gonna hear the **** "oh he'll never be here again, all the issues, blah blah blah"

I want to ******* win and close on top kids that we should and develop talent and have kids play up to their potential and when we find gems that they are actual gems. Give me Butch.

It's such an easy answer, but so many search for reasons to say no.

Not really loving on Mario, but IF loyalty is Al's big flaw, then Mario at least doesn't have any.

Cristobal beat Louisville with Teddy Bridgewater............at FIU

Golden can't come within 15 points of that team without Teddy B

How does hiring Butch guarantee wins? He is a recruiter, & developer......and yes, he also sucked as a big game coach. Hiring Butch would give us a consistent 9-10 win season which is an upgrade over AG but nothing more.

With Butch we'd get to the ACCCG and consistently lose then you will be ready to castrate him. You OK with that?

I'm starting to think this name is not just realistic but extremely undervalued (like Coach L).

Missouri moves to the SEC from the BIG 12 has one bad season. Then in 2013 and 2014 goes 7-1 in conference.

He has won 10 games and 5 Conference Division Titles 5 out of the last 8 years.

Missouri isn't exactly beasting it at recruiting either

Not so sure about him being undervalued as a coach but one thing that would work in our favor is his buyout from Mizzou. It's only $500k. Two things that would work against us- he's already making around $3.5 mil(with incentives) and the budget for his staff was recently upped to north of $3 mil per season. If we were running a real program this guy would be on the shortest of short lists.
